Editorial Reviews

Review

"The Accidental Missionary is a very personable account of a life led by God's calling. There were challenges and human battles but God was faithful through it all. Thank you David Winters for introducing us to one of God's faithful servants, his account is fascinating."- Julia Wilson, Christianbookaholic.com"This was a very educational book for me. David Bredeman did become an accidental missionary, but was well equipped by God to do this once he was chosen. I saw that he was very dedicated to learning the Spanish language and then he was very dedicated to get to know Emma.
Wow, the adventures that he had in the foreign field. His love for the people he ministered grew so much! It is wonderful to see that God protected him from many dangerous journeys. I think that this book would be a very good one for anyone considering becoming a missionary to the world. "

From the Author

Having known David Bredeman since the mid-nineties, I knew in general his exploits and adventures along the Amazon tributaries in Peru. What a pleasure to team with him in writing this memoir, detailing the highs and lows of missionary life. He is a funny man with great stories of God's grace and life's peculiar circumstances. It's easy to picture this average man thrust into extraordinary peril on a daily basis. Whether dodging alligator-like caiman or being chased from his bathing spot by a panther, he will keep you laughing one minute and crying the next. He didn't do everything perfectly, but he showed a lot of heart throughout his journey. Come along for this heart-warming ride.
