For my fancy-schmancy pastry creams and baking I tend to use vanilla bean paste because it’s incredibly yummy and imparts the best flavor *and* the seeds.

But if I’m doing simple stuff that doesn’t require me to pull out all the stops, this is my go-to vanilla. Yes, it’s “imitation,” but it actually tastes better than some of the “pure” vanillas out there. Even one of the gourmet magazines I read concurred!

So don’t feel like you need to mortgage your MIL cottage the next time you want to bake up a batch of cookies.

Buy this instead, and you’ll still get rave reviews. 🍪🍪🍪

I would have always stuck to Real. But when I saw a video on YouTube, this came out best. I tried and there's no reason to by the expensive stuff and definitely no reason to make your own.
