I got the SAF Aranet4 Home mainly because I was curious about why I'd get so groggy in one particular room of my house. This little gadget was easy to set up right out of the box and it immediately started giving me the lowdown on my air quality. Turns out, the CO2 levels in that room were off the charts sometimes - no wonder I felt like I was in a brain fog half the time.

I love that the Aranet4 is portable. I've taken it with me on trips, and it's kind of become my travel buddy. It’s wild to see the CO2 levels on airplanes and in hotel rooms. The color coding on the device makes it super easy to understand when the air quality is getting bad, and the buzzer is a neat feature too, although I turned it off after a while because it startled my cat.

The aranet4 is such an excellent monitor, and really is the best bang for your buck in an accurate and easy to use monitor. We have used this in all the rooms of our home to measure air flow and how quickly C02 builds up - especially useful in the kitchen during various cooking processes and in the bedrooms overnight - but we have also brought it to work to measure the C02 and get an idea of the air flow in various offices as well. It's easy to set up, the battery life is excellent, and it's easy to bring with you anywhere. The app works well and is likewise a quick and easy setup. We keep this monitor in the main living area of our house and it's every easy to monitor when the C02 is accumulating and we need to crack a window or turn on an exhaust fan. It's been illuminating. This item is also very accurate, and more so than others and cheaper version. Totally worth the money and a reliable, trustworthy device for monitoring a really important aspect of our health.

I bought this to gather some data about the air characteristics in various rooms in my house.

It is easy to use. If you download their app to your phone, you can easily download the data it collects. It measures temperature, CO2, air pressure and relative humidity. You can set the interval, too. By default it was set to record readings every 5 minutes.

It uses batteries and only batteries for power. Some might prefer the ability to plug it in to avoid batteries. I would. However, I could not find an similar product that plugs in. Not a big deal though.

It uses blutooth to communicate with your phone. This seems to work flawlessly. I would prefer a wifi connection to my home's router and network but also a minor issue.

My only substantial gripe so far is the inability to record any metadata in the app. For instance, what room it was located in during a given time frame. If I want to gather one weeks worth of data for my basement, it seems obvious to me I should be able to tell it where it is at a given moment to then include with the recorded data. It doesn't allow for recording data like this, though, so I decided to keep a small notebook with it wherever I place it and log the time and dates of things like location changes. This way I can retrospectively make sense of the data.

Also, the memory is limited. With mine set to record the data ever 5 minutes, it stores 2-3 weeks of data.

Overall, it is a handy little device and I recommend it if you need it for it's designed purpose. However, some minor improvements would really make this stand out.

The refresh rate on the screen is a few minutes, but this has been fine for my uses. I've taken this little guy on public transit, hotels, and various other places--it's easy to just throw in my bag and take it with me. It seems pretty durable build-quality wise and easy to take on the go without worrying about it getting banged up.

I'm not sure how accurate it is since I don't have any other instruments to measure CO2, but it's at least consistent and I can see the numbers rise in situations I would expect it to.

It also works great with Home Assistant, which has made it really nice to correlate CO2 levels in concert with other smart devices and sensors to get a better picture/correlation to what helps/hurts CO2 levels in a room.

Love that this little device is wireless (Bluetooth range) and has an historical chart so that trends can be easily viewed. Surprised however that in this day and age it appears to have no compensation for humidity and atmospheric pressure on CO2 readings. It will display these readings separately, also with trend charts but seems to leave it up to the user to decipher CO2 trends affected by humidity and pressure.

All in all, an otherwise stable and reliable CO2 meter. A strong help for monitoring indoor CO2 levels and trends.

Was looking for a CO2 monitor for some time and this does the job nicely. Being portable means I can have it in my study while I work or move it to the bedroom while I sleep, readings correlate pretty well with when I'm feeling groggy from being in the same room too long without opening a window and it has helped me feel clearer headed.

The eink display is pretty easy to read and should mean the battery doesnt drain too fast, It transmits its updates over BLE meaning homeassistant picked it up immediately without needing to be paired. App is straightforward and allows you to adjust a couple of settings as well as update the firmware. And it works locally so no accounts needed for the device or app.

Although this sensor is not the cheapest one it is so easy to setup, you can use the designated app but it also immediately connects to Home Assistant Smart home.
Very stable connection, CO2 reading seems to be very correct, it has battery which last a long time.

Worth it's money.
