This product is a scam. I received an email with "Spotify Premium" clearly visible, but the link took me to a gift card for "Main Event Entertainment," which is apparently a brick and mortar store not anywhere close to me. What's worse is I see no possible way to contact Amazon to address this problem. As of now, it appears to be $30 down the drain.

Spotify Gift Cards do NOT work with old spotify accounts

If you have an old account or an account that was created by signing up through Facebook, this card will not work. Your account will not have a "zip code" listed. When you attempt to use this card, it will require you to enter the zip code that matches your Spotify account. So you'll have to get Spotify customer service to help you before you can use this card. It's really a pain so check with whoever you are getting this for to see if they actually want it.

To be clear, this is SPOTIFY'S FAULT and not Amazon.

Well, this has to be a rare site to see. A card that actually works. Just use the PIN number and zip code, and your good to go. If you don’t do that, you won’t be able to redeem this. Thanks to the other reviews, I was able to gain this info, and recommend getting it for solo individuals only, not family or student plans, for it will not work.

Spotify sucks wouldn't accept the card was not Amazon's fault. Spotify wouldn't accept this for my account because it included hulu. They only accept these cards for their regular subscriptions. They won't even accept these for family accounts or student accounts. I ended my subscription after being a customer with them for 4 years. Highly disappointed with Spotify

A little confusing at first

My code did end up working in the end. BUT. It was a little confusing. I tried to enter the two codes I was given and it kept saying something went wrong. After, I realized that the two correct codes you were supposed to enter were your PIN, which is the one with all letters and then your towns postal code. In the end the code did work successfully.

This is a great product but redeeming it via Spotify is a HUGE MESS!!! They have been having issues since 2012 with the redeeming process. You have to sit there online for hours or wait for a response via email as there is not phone number to contact. I was finally able to get through via @spotifycares on twitter but OMG it is ridiculous that this issue has been going on since 2012 and they still have not resolved this issue.

This review has nothing to do with Amazon, they are just the middle guy.

I had some trouble at first, but then I looked at Spotify's FAQs and this gift card can only be applied to normal Spotify Premium, not any of the promotions like the family or student plan! Once I switched it from my student plan to the normal premium, it redeemed fine!

Not sure why anyone with a regular premium account has had issue with redeeming this code. The email that was sent to me was legit and the code I received worked. Be aware that this is ONLY for regular premium, this code doesn’t work with family bundles or anything else.
