Pretty Dress, But the Mesh Lining Kills it

This dress looks like it's going to be perfect and I was excited to try it on! I ordered the size 4 because that's my typical David Bridal's size. The dress zipped fine, but did feel slightly large in the shoulder area and really long length (I'm 5'4"). Loved the color and it was very thick (like this would be amazing for Fall/Winter events!) But why oh WHY did they have to put the weird nude mesh lining all under the top lace section? You could actually see the lining above the lace... and I tried to see what it would look like with or without flash pictures, and boom, nude mesh. If the dress did not have the unnecessary mesh, it would be very pretty. The only other problem with the otherwise very pretty dress, was that the dress I received was sewed weird in the bust, so when I did the "bend" over this way or that way test, it created this weird pot hole thing right between my boobs lol I will attach a pic to show the mesh lining that you will see sitting above the lace top.. if you can live with that or have a more matching skin tone for it, then it's a great dress.. I just cannot pull it off!

WOW!! I never had so many compliments with a dress from complete strangers. I wore this dress on a cruise ship and was amazed at how many compliments I received about this dress..."that dress is gorgeous", "most beautiful dress on the ship", "you look amazing in that dress".

Fit was perfect. I just followed the sizing guidelines. The fit is very flattering as well. The empire waist and bodice is form fitting while the bottom flows. Just perfect.

My biggest concern was the bra. I didn't wear one and it was perfectly fine. Now let me tell you I have the saggiest, baggiest, in need of tons of support tatas of anyone I know. But, because of the fit, I looked great without a bra!

Highly recommend this dress!!!!

I'm shopping for a mother of the groom dress for an August wedding in SC. So far, this is the most flattering dress and the very best value. I ordered it in 3 colors, blush, sapphire blue, and navy. I'll be going with the navy as it is a true dark navy but still blue. The blush was more on the beige side with very little pink (think skin color), the sapphire blue was pretty but was more purple than blue. I wear a size 10 or 12 petite, 36 D and the 12 fits me perfectly. I followed the Ever-Pretty sizing chart and went by my bust measurement. At 5'2", I'll have to have the dress hemmed as it is about 4-5 inches too long. At first, I was put off by the beige mesh under the lace but truly it becomes invisible when you are wearing the dress and it gives the neckline some structure. Love the built in bra cups and, unbelievably, the dress looks fine without a bra as the empire band and bust area is very fitted. I disagree with the reviewer who felt this dress was not flattering on those with larger busts. Only negative is the fabric is just OK but definitely on par with bridal shop dresses. Overall, this is a lovely and feminine dress at a great price.

The fit -I ordered this for my mom to wear for my wedding, and she looks amazing in it!! She's about 5'8" and size 12/14 in pants(depending on the season), we ordered the 14 just to be on the safe side and it fits wonderfully! There was a litttttle bit of room for her in the stomach area too which she was comfortable with since she wants it to be flowy and not tight. There is a mesh lining underneath the lace appliqué type top, but it honestly blended in so well I couldn't even tell. She said too that it hid her arm fat? I don't think she has that, but it makes her feel like a million bucks.. for only $65. Length of the dress was perfect for her to wear heels, but she insists on flats, and wants to hide her feet. So for the shorter ladies, you may want to wear heels or have it slightly hemmed?

The quality and weight of the dress- feels like one you would get from a bridal shop, light chiffon with a good inner lining and the top bust pleats are well sewn too. The keyhole back is actually really well done too, it wasn't puckering or bunching once on her and having her dance/move it stayed in place. There were wrinkles when we first received it, BUT were able to get them out hanging it in the bathroom and showering to let the steam unwrinkle it. All in all I'm excited for her to wear this on my day!

Before I ordered the dress I had read through a lot of reviews to see how the dress fits in order to determine what size I should order. I read a ton of mixed responses, quite a bit saying the dress fit bigger than how the sizes normally fit; however, I did not experience this at all. The dress fit PERFECT and very true to size! I was actually shocked at how well the dress fit. I wear a size 6 dress normally, but my measurements (based on their size guide) were all over the place. It said I was a size 4 in upper measurements and like a 10 in lower measurements such as my hips. Since I was having such a hard time with the sizing, I decided to just order my normal size (which is a 6) and I would just get alterations if needed. So from my experience, order your normal dress size and hopefully you will be just as pleased as I am! Just in case someone needs a general idea of how the size 6 fits, my height is 5'4 and my weight is 122 lbs. My bra size is a 32B and my hips are definitely "child bearing" hips! LOL

The dress is a nice material. However, there are a few things to be aware of. I ordered this for a bridesmaid dress using the measurements provided. I therefore ordered the size 16 knowing that based on the size guide provided we would have to have it taken in a bit. When it arrived the label confirmed that it was a size 16 however, it was much smaller than this. The bust area was perfect for my size 14 bridesmaid but the waist was more like a 12.

The second area that was a bit strange is the lace area of the top. There is a kind of pinkish chiffon mesh under the lace with very thick edging which can clearly be seen when wearing the dress. I am not really sure why it has been used as it does not appear to have any structural purpose that i can see. It may well be possible to cut this away.

Overall the dress is nice and seems to be made well.

I was unsure when I first unwrapped theses dresses (I brought 4
For my bridesmaids). The top part of the dress is on a pale mesh netting which I thought looked odd. After trying it on and hanging it up to let the creases out it grew on me. And you can't notice the mesh netting. My 4 bridesmaids love them. Everyone who has seen them love them. Good value for money. I would suggest if you are a size 10-12 order both ( a 10 & a 12) and try on as they come up quite big, especially on top. My girls went from 14 to a 12, 12 to a 10 and two girls who are size 8-10 are having the size 8. I am happy with this product & would recommend it.

I was very upset as I really wanted to wear this.
