Maojian green tea also called Yunwu green tea, has a long tea history that can be traced back to the Han Dynasty.
It is harvested at high altitudes on Huaguo Mountain where the fog is thick, keeping the tea bushes hydrated and protected from the sun rays. Once processed, Yun Wu tends to have characteristically irregular curly twisted type strips.

When pouring the water into a teacup, the color of our Maojian green tea's infusion is yellowish, the aroma will flow into the air and create a peaceful atmosphere. The tea liquor is slightly thick and tastes refreshingly brisk and with a sweetness overtones.

You can brew Yunwu maojian green tea leaf using a teapot with a strainer if you make the drink for a few family members. It is beautiful to watch the thin and curly green tea leaf shape unfurl into nice whole leaves while steeping in the pot. Importantly, our green tea can be brewed more than 3 times. |
How to brew maojian green tea? Warm up the teapot with boiling water, put about 1-2 Tsp maojian green leaf tea, pour a small amount of boiling water into the teapot and immediately pour out. This helps to damp tea leaves, wash and help them to start steeping. After that pour 8 fl.oz of boiling water which is about 80-85°C (175-185°F) and cover the teapot for 1-2 minutes before serving. |

For the price is good for a simple session. I will not buy again but because it's bad, but it's not enough to make me want more. I am consuming what I purchased. I would suggest 174-177 F water. Any higher would give you the grassy notes, lighter temps give you fruit but let it step a while. Rinse the first pour to get a stronger first cup. Liquor will not be as translucent, but some variety of this green tea is like that regardless of leaf grade.
