You don't really *need* to have read book 1 of Duckett & Dyer's adventures, but why wouldn't you? It's awesome and you won't regret it.
When does book 3 come out? I'm preordering the hell out of it.
The ridiculousness of Michael Duckett and Stephanie Dyer kept me laughing while they navigated one problem after another, starting with Michael losing his job at the Future Group. What is the Future Group? Everyone finally finds out.
After a visit from a strange, secretive woman who wants to hire Duckett & Dyer Dicks for Hire, Michael and Stephanie’s detective agency finally has business. The Garbagemobile rolls again, and old favorites are back, including Detective Rex Calhoun. This time, Rex enlists the services of Michael and Stephanie to crack his case, but he’s not happy about it.
The duo bumble through just about everything, but Earth’s future depends on them…can they finally do one thing right? You’ll have to get your own copy to find out.
If you liked the first book you'll definitely enjoy this one. If you didn't read the first one, then you're missing out on what's turning out to be a great series so you should probably get on that.
Things you might might find in this book: Grape slushies, Octopus headgear, more grappling hooks, mutated and brainwashed corporate ladder climbing hordes, urban snowflakes in medieval armor, Evel Knieval like stunts and secret codes for infinite lives. You might think this is about P.I.'s or Multi Verses or World ending monsters but it is really about Stephanie trying to score a date. Also you might gleam more insight into the depraved mind of G.M. Nair.

This story takes off a few months after the events of the last book end. After the pair's last hijinx-filled adventure, there were hints that something else was at play. The author does not disappoint by launching our heroes right back into the thick of things.
Nair also brings back several memorable characters, providing us with a mixture of salty and sweet. We are even regaled with a bit of backstory, interwoven with the main storyline, which hints that not all is well in the multiverse.
This story has much of the same flavour as its predecessor. The humour prevails and promises a few zigs where the reader would expect a zag. This is truly where G.M. Nair's imagination shines.
If you want a solid read that ventures into the realm of the random and absurd, then this novel is for you!
