Can only install one way but no directions included. You need to bend the uppermost tab out without snapping it off, an interior wedge tool helps. Be VERY careful not to scratch your dash (ask me how I know)!

The mount would work fine but I have my phone in a case so it doesn't clamp down without fiddling. It partially blocks one air vent but the worst thing it blocks half of the upper display on the touring model Forester.

When I fist installed this, I thought it was great, it fit prefect and snapped right in. Phone did block the infotainment screen a bit. One day later I accidently bumped the phone while driving. The very tiny little piece of plastic that makes it snap in place broke off. They did send me a replacement. However, the replacement sent would not snap into place, I tried for hours, gave up and got a refund.

Very cheap thin plastic. Prong broke first week installed. Phone didn’t fit well with otter box cover. Replaced it with a $5 vent clip that is much better quality

2020 Forester Premium DOES NOT FIT!! The plastic insert tab does NOT fit into the dash edge unless you forcefully pry it apart and wreck the edge of your dashboard. Hard pass on this device. I’m returning it. Buyer Beware!
