After using this tool on multiple vehicles for over a week. We come to find out that we actually really enjoy using this tool, and all the accessories it comes with. The tool is a lot sleeker than the previous tools we have purchased from SPTA. This tool has plenty of power and rpm for beginners and professionals, However I can see some customers may not like that it doesn't have the RPM its competitors have. You should never have to use a tool at full Max rpm to get the desired finish you need especially with high end products. This talk came with the couple brushes a couple Alan books for the head as well as a Allen key in the owners manual which is really nice if you ever need to do work on the tool for preventative measures. The polish and compound work pretty well, Have a decent smell, and have a lot of working time period. compared to some of the high end products we have used. The Polish and compound isn't our 1st choice but we will continue to use these products to see what pads SPTA has that will work best for these product. We have been a fan of these Orange and black buffing pads for awhile it comes with 2 sizes a 5" backing plate size in a 6" backing plate size. The Orange pads give you plenty of caught but yet finished down pretty well specially with the working time that the polishing compound has that it comes with this kit. The black pads are very nice for a Finnish wax or finish Polish especially on delicate pain however you will constantly have to clean these pads due to the product falling up in them since the black pads are really really soft not made for high rpm or heat. The tool also comes with various grit sandpaper zoo and 2 different sizes with 5" being the small size and 6" being the big size both will be very good if you wanted to use this tool for a wood or sanding down on raw metal however I would not recommend these products for paints or anything on a vehicle that you are trying to finish unless you are trying to repaint it. One of our favorite accessories this kit comes with is the buffing pad cleaning tool we have purchased these before and some of them have been very expensive reaching over $25 per tool this tool being included with the kit is an amazing value and works very very well especially on the soft wax pad this tool will be 1 of our most highly used tools in the shop because a clean buffing pad means a better finish. Also in the kid was to microfiber towels I would like to call them more of a glass cleaning tell but they work very well for removing Polish and compound from the painted surface they seem to be really made my quality to house and I have purchased these directly from SPTA in the past, And they worked great and last quite a few wash cycles. We 1st opened up the package and noticed the quality of the bag that it comes with to carry everything was actually really high quality even more expensive than some of the previous bags I purchased from high in companies. The Apron a that it came with was really thick and durable, also The apron is not really large like some of the other companies I have purchased which tend to make them floppy and get in the way the Saipan is the perfect size I am 5' 9" tall and it fits me perfectly. My over all final evaluation this cat is you're getting way more than what you pay for for the money if it was just the tool I could see paying this price for the tool the bag and just the buffing pad cleaning tool but they include a lot more accessories in this kit and I feel that that's where the value comes. The tool works great it's nice and smooth the operate the buffing pads work very well with it are the highest quality but they work the polishing compound will take a little bit of time getting used to especially if you are a beginner but the Abran and the whole entire kit as a whole I would probably consider purchasing another one for myself here in the near future.

Quality can be affordable

Well, first job I tackled with it was an extended E350 van with a lifetime of automatic wash scratches. Polisher has a long throw, as advertised. I ran it for about 5 hours straight doing a 2 stage cut and polish. No issues, heat buildup was mild. Nothing concerning in use at all. I did not use the included compounds, so I won't rate those. Pads are okay, but i would step up to a professional pad, they're cheap. The polisher itself is fabulous for the $$$. Its no Rupes, but certainly far better than the price would suggest.
I really like the price point and overall value of the kit. Polisher feels good in your hand and fit and finish seems good. The problem came when I actually put it to the paint. If I put any pressure at all on it the spinning action slowed way down and seemed to stop spinning. Just the pressure of my hand resting on the top stopped it. Not sure if it is a defective unit or that’s normal for this machine. Had to finish hood with my 3” maxshine.

The machine is great, the kit is great, but the booklet that comes with it REALLY NEEDS SOME WORK!!!! The product booklet is only a partial booklet, but it is in about 7 different languages, and they all cut off at the same area. I would give it 5 stars if the booklet was a complete informational book. The compound/polish that comes with it is absolute trash that is hard to wipe off and doesn't do a good job at all. I used other compounds/polishes that came recommended from other people. The pads that come with the machine are all different and my son was trying to figure out which to use for the rubbing compound. It was a lucky stab by just going with the roughest one.
Not a true dual action polisher. I should have known by the backing plate. This is a random orbit unit, a true dual action unit has a geared drive and the backing plate has a gear built into it which forces the pad to spin on two orbits, you can not hold a true dual action backer plate still. With that said this is a very good polisher, especially for the money.
no clear cut instructions on how to install the different heads or handle or what pads to use. i got black, yellow and red. seems like red and yellow were for cutting and black was the softest so i used that for the polishing. there were microfiber pads too but i hadnt tried those yet. took about an hour but i was able to at least diminish the scratches on my car's quarter panel significantly. i might have to use the sandpaper to cut through the clear coat to remove them at some point but for now cutting with the red and yellow and polishing with the black seemed to work. mostly.
Operating a high end detailing facility specializing in ceramic coatings, we absolutely put our tools through the ringer. We added this polisher, our 4th tool from SPTA to be used as a work horse. While the tool isn't as refined as a RUPES (obviously) or as luxurious feeling to a MaxShine or PBL, this baby kicks it. It's flat out CHEAP for the quality of the polisher itself. the smooth trigger and hand guards (lacking in grip or texture) are it's only downside. Price comparison wise this tool is a no brainer for a hobbyiest or enthusiast. For Professional use this tool makes for a great daily use tool for bulking out vehicles
I've been in the Detailing Buisness over 15 years and I've used many different polishers and I'm here to say it's the skill of the person with the machine in the hand that gets the results, you don't have to have a 300$ + machine to correct paint I've used this machine almost daily for months and it hasn't missed a beat..It's comfortable and smooth..I would definitely buy again..
