I recently purchased two of these USB-C female to USB-C male cables with a switch, and both have been nothing but a disappointment. Despite the product being advertised as a simple USB-C to USB-C cable, it turns out you need a USB-A adapter to make them work. This was not mentioned anywhere in the product description, leading to a frustrating and misleading experience.

After my cables failed to function, I read through the reviews and discovered that many other buyers have encountered the same issue. It seems like a common problem that the manufacturer has yet to address.

These cables are completely useless for anyone expecting a straightforward USB-C to USB-C connection. If you're in need of a reliable cable, look elsewhere. Save your money and avoid the hassle – this product is not worth the investment.

These did not work to regulate powering a light off the usb-c port on my powerbank. It only worked if i didnt plug into the powerbank’s usb-c port and instead used a usb-a to usb-c adapter to power it from the powerbank’s usb-b port. That defeats the purpose since i already had switches w usb-a & usb-b connectors and bought these in the pursuit of getting rid of all non-reversible plugs

This will work with a USB-A to USB-C adapted charger, but like other reviewers I can't get it to work with a dedicated USB-C supply. I suspect some pins needed for the charger to work aren't wired through. Without working with a standard USB power supply this is pretty useless to me.
