Cannot believe this is the author's first book! It is amazing. Within the first few sentences I was drawn in and not released until it was over. I could feel deep in my bones the anguish, despair,rage and even the hope that Forrest experiences. It is a wonderful ability for an author to use horrific circumstances to show how a woman can grow and become more despite everything. And I loved that it wasn't overnight and she didn't need a knight in shiny armor to "save" her. She did that quite well herself. The background theme of women being walking wombs is disturbing but it is important and sadly still believed by many men. I do wish she could have confronted her brother one last time and forced him to see her as a person. Thanks to the author for such a wonderful book that was satisfying on so many levels.

I enjoyed this story with the HEA as the under dog who prevails along with supporting characters who you learn to like or dislike. I am glad Forrest gets her happily ever after with the man she loves. I hope to see a book about Owen in the future. I loved that this book is so unique with the plot. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Now I understand that others may feel different and that is ok, but for me it is more about the story and while I like it to contain some romance I find that some has padded their stories out by going into great detail about the sexual acts and feelings of their characters.
This however is not the case with this book, good central heroine , who has suffered physically and mentally but comes out on top. I would recommend this book to fantasy fans. Love love the fact that this is a stand alone book,but would not mind seeing stories that feature some of the other characters in the book such as Owen and Ava.

Set in a world where paranormals are in charge which was so refreshing as trying to fit PNR into 'real world' scenarios can easily fall flat and let's face it if you're reading PNR you're looking to suspend reality. Very well intertwined 'flashbacks' filling out the past without leaving you feeling overfed with historical events. Funny yet heartbreaking in places an amazing story with great characters.

I loved it. I’m in love with forest the main character, she is so quirky like a puppy but as stubborn as a dragon. It’s a must read. Full of LOL moments with a mix of badassary and a pinch of heart clenching scenes. I read it in every spare second I could. The cuteness of the connections between forest and Aragon and forest with her friends made me smile like an idiot. I seriously loved it. I sat there and kept yelling out loud, into a very quiet room, at all those idiots who did anything to forest. It cause quite a scare to my family members who were close by. 😅😅 I loved how real the character felt, I could imagine them so clearly that they became real to me. I’m seriously craving a book 2, I so want to see more of forest and Aragon’s story. I want of their story more than forest wants chocolate cake, hahaha.

Absolutely loved this book!
It was thoroughly entertaining with the MC's cracker sense of humour despite the abuse she suffered for so long. Managing to overcome her struggles & kick ass while still smiling had me smiling too. Of course it wasn't all sunshine & rum, add in some seething rage, righteous indignation, ignorant bystanders & finally a little vindication and i feel as though i went through the whole gamut with Forrest. Which is the recipe to any successful story in my opinion, character investment. I cared about Forrest and what had & would happen to her so much that i'd love to read more of her ;)
I am truly blown away that this is the author's first book & cannot wait to read her future work. With No mad eye rolling, tutting or need to take a break between chapters due to frustrating asinine behaviour... i was at a bit of a loss. Been so long since i've enjoyed a book so much.
Great job and please don't stop! :)
