Not Worth The Trouble

Like some other reviewers who gave this a low rating, I had trouble using this. I was in the middle of a project and decided to give this a try, so I could get the best results. I have been using other Gorilla products over the years without complaint. But this stuff arrived like a lump of putty in a bottle. The directions call for you to shake it before using. But you can shake your arm off and nothing changes. It's too stiff to squeeze out of the spout like you'd expect it to. I was able to stick a small brush in the container and apply it to my project. It worked fine that way.
I contacted Gorilla via their website and asked why I had this problem. I included pics of the product and supplied all of the info they requested. They were of no use, and downright patronizing in their reply. I've been doing woodworking projects for 45 years and have a lot of experience. Please don't talk down to me.
Does the product work? Yes!
Is it worth going to the extra steps to apply it? No, there are other products that do the same job for the same of lower price. I can't recommend this stuff.

I may change my review once I see how it works for me but it is so thick, like another reviewer mentioned, that I couldn't squeeze it out of the bottle so I removed the cap and poured it out. Hopefully it does what I need it to but I will have to brush it on. Hard to believe that it is so thick it that it won't be squeezed out of its bottle! If it works as needed, I will return and report how it did.

Too thick - can not squeeze it out

I should have checked the latest reviews before buying. This looks like a big problem of recent vintage. How in the world a manufacturing company lets a product like this out? Where is their process and quality assurance? The company website advises to "shake the bottle vigorously" to thin the glue. After about a minute of shaking the glue was still not coming out. This is ridiculous. Tried to call customer service - no use, they just do not answer the phone. I am sending it back to Amazon and will use other products from now on and dumbbells for exercising instead of useless shaking of a glue bottle.

Strong glue. Takes a stain (lightly)

I needed to fix a broken slat when refinishing a teak chair. Glued it in place. It dried pretty clear. I also filled in a couple if cracks and a divot. Sanded it down before applying teak sealant to the chair. The glue absorbed some small amount of color.

All in all, pretty happy.

I'll let you know how it holds up once I finish the restoration and start the important business of sitting.

It would probably be a great glue if it would flow out of the bottle. Far to thick for a squeeze bottle. I had to take off the top and use a small brush to use it. Very first time I was disappointed and dissatisfied with this brand. I would recommend skipping the "Ultimate" Gorrila brand wood glue. I went back to the regular wood glue it flows at just the right rate.

Now I know why they call it Gorilla glue. You have to be a Gorilla to squeeze it out of the bottle!!! No amount of shaking would thin it out enough to be able to squeeze anything out. It may stick things together great, but it's not worth the effort. They need to work on their formula so this doesn't happen. If you got a bottle that works you might want to go buy a lottery ticket because this is your lucky day!
