One especially nice thing about the book is that after each tale there is a short blurb citing the source of the story, and occasionally other factoids about the tale. It's not super exciting, but it's nice.

Also, these are not always the sweet, happy ending stories. These teach important values by the eyes of ancient dark age writers. So the reader has to know that they will get perhaps a more advanced story than little kids might know in today's time. Still this is a pleasure to read.
A great book!
