I live on a hobby farm and I use Wyze brand cameras at most of my areas I want to monitor, problem is I don't have power everywhere and I don't want to mess with the hubs required with these other cameras. So I got this set of wireless battery powered cameras and I am impressed. The setup process is very easy, download the app (they include the QR code in the manual to get to it quickly), log in and I love they use apple ID as an option so you don't have to share your email info. Then you click "add device" and choose "battery camera", you enter your wifi password into the app, that creates a QR code you show to the camera, it beeps, reboots and you are done. Super slick, super simple to get these cameras online. I have one of these cameras around 150' from my house attached to a greenhouse and it has decent coverage and alerts me realtime to motion in the garden behind the greenhouse. I have the other camera in my backyard by a creek crossing attached to a tree, roughly 100' from the house and it took some configurations and angling of the camera so it didn't trigger with water motion, but I got it set now so if wildlife crosses the creek I get notified.
The camera is solid, I expected to get this and it be cheap plastic and lightweight. This is not the case, this camera feels premium. Everything about it is great quality. My ONLY compliant is the rubber cover that goes over the back, it's not attached to the camera so it's just pressure fit which is good, but I would like to have it attached somehow so that if I have to open that cover I don't have to think about dropping and losing that rubber cover. But it's not a problem just a request for future revisions of this camera.
Overall I am very happy with these cameras. Great range, great video quality, setup couldn't be easier. I like it does local storage but has option for cloud storage. The alerts are timely. So many cool things, I'll be getting more of these for sure for other areas where I need battery cameras.
