Great product. i bought it for my homemade teas. it has a slight woody flavor to it but still a great taste. very fresh. glad its in a small bag that reseals to keep the product from going stale

ANYONE who is looking for oat tops, to use would know the difference between this chipped up stem garbage that was packaged and passed off as oat tops. The bag even says GREEN OAT TOPS! Another name for them is milky oat tops because they are harvested and dried before the grain opens up and dries out. Which is written in the description below the item. So they KNOW there's a difference between this HAY I recieved and what I should have gotten. Because of them being green and THE TOPS there are constituents and properties in them that aren't in the chaff and stem pieces that Frontier CO-op is trying to pass off as such. This is what I would have tossed in the compost because it's garbage. If you're looking for GREEN OAT TOPS, DO NOT BUY THESE!!! GO TO MOUNTAIN ROSE HERBS, Star West Botanicals or ANYWHERE else, where they know WHAT they're selling, and also look at the quality of the herb they package. This isn't anything but filler material that shouldn't be saved to begin with. There's not even any OATS in here that you can see. I'm completely disappointed by this purchase. I honestly won't ever buy Frontier Brand anymore after seeing what they packaged and sold in this bag. Sadly, it's a non-returnable item and I'm stuck with more compost material.
