Had fantastic examples of how you can apply data science to problems you might encounter. As someone who loves to "tinker", this book provides a great launching point for trying out data science in your own life in a reasonable and very useful way.
Would recommend 10/10

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This book is a little over a hundred pages, and laid out with double spacing, so you're really only getting about 50 pages of content. There are 7 case studies so about real 7 pages each, on average, or a typical long-form blog post. In each case, although there may be some math, the discussion is pretty superficial. If you already have a data science background or experience, like me, you'll probably regret purchasing this; you're not getting much for your money. But if you don't know anything about data science and would like to learn more about it, this is a fun introduction.

This book is really fun! Lots of interesting case studies, got my brain running on personal data projects I could play around with.

This shouldn't be offered in printed media. There is a serious lack of any editing, to a point certain chapters are a SINGLE WORD. Here is an example:
1.5 When is data science?
Everyday
The book isn't expensive, but it isn't even worth the small amount you pay. With some editing I think it could be better though.
