To be honest I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I was mistaken. These Carabiner Clips are lightweight, but are indeed heavy duty. For the price point and amount included, these are definitely the best carabiners I have come across of this quality for this price range. I use them for my tools, keys, and more. I highly recommend them and I plan to buy a few more sets to have on hand.

I'm not a mountain climber so I can't speak to the safety of these if you're hanging your butt out on a high cliff. I do, however, use these types of carabiners in every day use to replace the tie down hooks on pull-down and ratchet straps on my hand truck at work. I use them to secure heavy boxes of printer paper and various other office related items on my hand-truck. They're also handy to make your own work-out straps for the cable machine at the gym. I lift and pull light weight, 15 or 20 pound plates on the machine, so yeah, they are great for light weights, high reps. Use the actual legit gym straps for the heavy stuff. Enjoy them; well worth it to buy.
