SOOYEAH Isobutane Canister Shifter SY-0315

Note: In order that you can use this product more safely and get full play to its functions and features, please read the operating instructions carefully in advance.

This set of items can empty an old gas canister and refill the gas into another gas canister. The small size gas canister is more expensive on the market, and it would be a waste to discard it when it is used up.This product can provide solutions to the above problems. The gas from large EN417 gas canister(450g) or cheaper butane gas cartridge can be filled into small size EN417 gas canister(100g) to save money and protect the environment.

Relief Button

When the valve is closed and the relief button is pressed, the gas in the bottom canister will be discharged from the vent hole. This can reduce the internal pressure of the bottom gas canister and increase the pressure difference between the upper and lower gas canisters, which will speed up the gas filling process.

Easy to Carry

The product can be placed in the storage bag, the total weight is 113g, which is convenient to carry.

Come with an Butane Adapter SY-0311

If combine with butane adapter SY-0311, the gas canister on the filling end can be the butane cartrdige which has a metal ring around the top of it with about a 1/2" slit missing.(catridge with snap joint).

Adjustable Valve Regulator

The speed of gas flow can be controlled by adjusting the valve according to your need. The larger the valve is opened, the faster the gas flows. When the valve is closed, the gas filling process will stop.

1.check the valve

1. Before starting to use this product, please check whether the valve of the product is in a closed state.

2. Assemble the gas canister to the product.

*Note that the connection marked "OUT" on the product should be on the top, and the connection on the "IN" end should be on the bottom. Do not reverse the directions, otherwise the refilling process will be affected.

3. Open the valve to start the refiiling process.

*Note: If you want to get the fastest refiiling effect, you can warm the top end canister and cool the bottom end canister in advance, but you need to read the instruction manual of this product before using these warming and cooling steps.

4.Check the overcharge state.

By measuring the weight and comparing before and after the filling work, the amount of gas filled can be accurately grasped. For each canister, the upper limit that can be filled is the content (net weight) indicated on the side of canister. It is recommended not to exceed 80% of the net weight.

Was able to consolidate partial 230g cans into more compact 100g canisters. I found that the bleed-off button was enough to overcome pressure and/or volume differences; so unless you’re trying to get the last dregs of equal sized canisters to consolidate together, heating one side and cooling the other felt unnecessary. But that’s probably more of a trial and error thing. Just be sure you use a scale to prevent over filling!

I'll spend more time figuring out how to fill more when I am not rushed to pack for a camping trip. LOL.

I just used this thing to transfer fuel from two canisters that had maybe 20% left into a third one that was around 50% full - so now I have an "almost" full canister that I can take into the b/c with good confidence that I won't run out. Unit comes with good instructions that make sense, and also address safety concerns. The advice on cooling the 'receiving' canister (I put mine in the freezer for a while) and warming the 'donating' canister (let sit in the sunshine for a bit) is spot on from a thermodynamic perspective. The unit includes a little bleed valve to release excess headspace pressure in order to be able to transfer more liquid fuel (all this is covered in the instructions). Instructions say to weigh the canister in order to not exceed recommended capacity - I had a brand new (unused) canister on hand that I used as a standard (via the "shake test") to assess when to stop filling the receiving canister. This little device appears to be well built, and comes in a little zip case for storage.
