Rozemyne awakens from her two-year sleep to a world that isn’t as she remembers it. The strange sensation fills her with unease, but she has no time to rest—she is soon to be enrolled in the Royal Academy as an archduke candidate, where she will be taught how to control her mana, make magic tools, and perform the magic needed to rule as an archduke. She begins dormitory life with colorful teachers and students from other duchies, aiming to be the best big sister possible... but there is little chance things will go according to plan when there is a massive library on the premises. She charges there at once, the other archduke candidates and even the royal family disappearing from her mind entirely. She truly will do anything for books! Now begins a new chapter of this biblio-fantasy, with a school as its setting! Suddenly the series has evolved once again to change styles. Where before we were following the ins and outs of noble lifestyles, now we are entering the thick of it in the Royal Academy as Rozemyne comes into contact with children from other duchies, begins her magical coursework, and struggles to find ways of not standing out amidst her unusual background, stature, and way of thinking. It gives the series a new coat of Harry Potter paint while not really changing any of what makes the story and characters so great (and we get a lot of new characters). As expected, it's a great new entry in the series.

The beginning of this volume was a little bad for my emotions but I love school arcs so I feel like that was the price for admission. So many new characters, not sure how I feel about them yet. And oh my god we met some of them earlier! Why do I know this? Was I paying attention? Yes, but not closely enough apparently. I only realized it because I re-read the whole series before this one. What if I hadn't reread? I need to do it again in case I missed someone. So far the academy has been fun and made me giggle a lot. The whole dorm has realized not to get in the way of the library. There is a lot I want to ramble about but let's keep it spoiler free and end things here.
