I’m giving it 4 stars only because it does not hold as many cards as the previous one I had for my 12 Pro Max. But this is a slimmer design so the card storage part is much less prominent. Even though they state it only holds 2 cards I’m using it with 3 and one is an Apple Card which is titanium and thicker than a standard card. So 3 normal cards should fit with no issues. With the 3 of mine in the cover slides shut snugly with no gaps and appears to be quite secure. This case from Amazon is also $20 less expensive than from Spigen directly. Comparing photos of the product on Speigen’s site and the one I received, they are identical.
One possible drawback. The side buttons, on/off and volume buttons, are not solid. There are actually gaps around each through which you can see the metal border of the phone itself. That does make them very easy to press, I’ve had some cases where these buttons were very stiff. Durability of the buttons could be a problem and there is the potential for dirt or dust to get through those gaps. Not big issues but something to think about. If you’ve had one of these before and thought it might be too bulky they addressed that with this design but at the expense of storing more cards - I could easily get 4 cards in my previous one and possibly 5. This is very well made and fits extremely well. I would have been fine with a little bulk to be able to add another card or two but 3 is normally all I need.
