Classic Monster Manual-Style Art

Beholders, owlbears, gelatinous cubes, and even the dreaded Tarrasque—collect Rulebook cards featuring the most beloved and feared monsters in Dungeons & Dragons with special alternate-art drawn in the style of classic D&D monster manuals.

Adventure Module-Style Lands

Packs may also include showcase land cards styled after D&D adventure module covers from the late ’70s and early ’80s. With bold, colorful alternate art—and guidance on appropriate character level—go on a Forgotten Realms adventure with a Rare, Uncommon, or Common Module land.

Venture into the Dungeon

Explore famous dungeons in search of treasure and glory. Adventures in the Forgotten Realms introduces a dungeon-delving keyword and three dungeons that seasoned D&D adventurers may recognize—Tomb of Annihilation, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and Lost Mine of Phandelver.

When a card tells you to “venture into the dungeon,” you’ll use a special Dungeon card to mark your path. Choose which room to explore next, triggering that room’s effect as you enter.

Do you step into the Goblin Lair to create a 1/1 red Goblin creature token? Or explore the mine tunnels to create a Treasure token? Not only will you get perks for exploring, but some cards have abilities that reward your dungeon crawls.

Flavorful Card Abilities

Buff a creature with Bardic Inspiration. Gain life with a cleric’s Cure Wounds ability. Lend a helping hand with Clever Conjurer’s Mage Hand. Or leverage the Grim Wanderer’s Tragic Backstory to bring him onto the battlefield after a creature dies.

    We almost returned this. Opened the box to complete disappointment. Immediately we all thought oh no the dreaded tampered box!!! They ALL look glued and razor bladed on seams. I mean look at those seals on top! Some are even missing full sections of black and you just see... See more
    We almost returned this. Opened the box to complete disappointment. Immediately we all thought oh no the dreaded tampered box!!! They ALL look glued and razor bladed on seams. I mean look at those seals on top! Some are even missing full sections of black and you just see silver shining through! Definitely had slits horizontal, not a good sign. (small vertical ones are usually fine and are from machine). These packs also had slits along interior seam the way you’d razor blade to pull out cards. Point is packs looked cut up and awful. We’ve opened enough boosters to know this isn’t normal looking. We were so sure it was tampered with that we almost returned it on sight. But, because it was a gift and we had already opened the box we decided we’d open one pack and see if they looked tampered with. Inspect for glue on all edges etc.. Let me tell you how glad we are that we didn’t return it! First regular booster draft pack we open and this guy boardeless, foil is looking me straight at me! No glue found. Just crazy bad machining in production for sealing the packs. Point is, our collector booster looked regular good seal and great, the regular draft boosters looked HORRIBLE but they were not tampered with. You don’t pull this card in a tampered set. So keep that in mind when deciding if you want to return yours or not. (There is the possibility they were tampered with but there is a magic card Robin Hood out there that instead of taking the best cards puts them in, but I doubt it!) ;)

    Well, after buying a few MTG products I finally got hosed. I've heard horror stories about sealed MTG product on Amazon and now I can add to them. I received my Gift Bundle today and it was missing the Collector's Booster. It had the 10 draft packs and everything else.
    I am being sent a replacement and I'm hoping the next one is complete, but I have doubts. I made sure I ordered directly from Amazon and not a third party seller, but it didn't matter.
    I am giving 2 stars because the draft packs seemed fine and I even pulled an Old Gnawbone from one of the packs.
    The missing Collector's Booster may have been a manufacturing mistake, but probably not.
    Just be wary of ordering this product.
    I will update when I receive the replacement.

    Update 04/14/22:
    I received my replacement bundle today and everything was included this time. I'm not sure if my first bundle was a manufacturer error or not. One thing Amazon needs to stop doing is shipping these types of products in a bag instead of a box! My replacement had damage on the storage box thanks to the awful way it was shipped.

    No amount of words can be enough. This is THE Wizards of the Coast franchise crossover you've been waiting for. If you haven't been waiting for it, but have stood on one side or the other in regards to the D&D and MtG divide, this is the perfect time to explore the other side. Magic the Gathering: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is, clearly, an expansion for MtG. However, each card is also a brilliantly written (and illustrated) love letter from Wizards of the Coast to their long-time D&D players and fans. The bundle comes with oversized dungeon cards, a key mechanic for this card set, and a good-sized d20, which will be needed for the MtG mechanics found on many cards, and can be carried over into your D&D game.
