I was in the mood for a good romance and I appreciate good writing so I gave this book with the intriguing title a try. It is a perfectly romantic read with all the good "feels" some minimal angst for drama and excellent writing. You can read the blurb for the story/plot line, but oh my, these are characters to love and root for! I won't be able to forget them for quite some time, if ever.
Yes, it gets a little "sappy" from time to time but the author deftly makes "sappy" an integral part of the story. How awesome is that? Jamey Moody is a talented writer and I highly recommend this.

Much like "The Woman at the Top of the Stairs", this novel is full of sappy sweet declarations: I'll love you forever. I'll never leave you. Etc etc.

I found it to be tedious throughout the middle, with no dramatic tension at all, just the endless repetition of the same romantic declarations. It got a little better, a little more engaging near the end as the two protagonists work out their future together and with regard to Victoria's professional relationship with her family business.

I think it's going to be a while before I read any more of this author's work. I find that her novels are just not emotionally engaging enough for me.
