One great love. Two horrible mistakes. Do second chances really exist?
Victoria Stratton tried to heal her broken heart by working. When she was focused on saving her father’s legacy she couldn’t think about Shelby Kimball. She knew it was too much to ask when suddenly five years ago Victoria’s father sent her to Japan to save the company. Shelby wouldn’t come with her, but now, she was coming home and prepared to do whatever it took to get another chance with Shelby.
It had been five long years since the love of Shelby Kimball’s life left for Japan without her. Five years of questioning why Shelby didn’t go with her. What she would give for a do over.
Out of the blue Victoria appears and asks Shelby to do the strangest thing: “Would you climb a mountain with me?”
Was this the second chance Shelby hoped for? Could they figure out what went wrong and do it right this time? Could they really climb this mountain and come back down together?
Find out if The Woman Who Climbed A Mountain gets her second chance at her one great love.

About the author

Jamey is a small town Texas girl that loves adventure. She has been a lifeguard, bank examiner, teacher, accountant and has found a new passion writing lesbian romance. For Jamey, falling into a lesbian romance is an adventure. You meet new people and walk through life with them. When given the opportunity to captivate and delight readers the way lesfic authors had her, she grabbed it and hasn't looked back. She still lives in Texas with her sweet little terrier Leo that brings her a toy every time she walks in the door.

Yes, it gets a little "sappy" from time to time but the author deftly makes "sappy" an integral part of the story. How awesome is that? Jamey Moody is a talented writer and I highly recommend this.
I found it to be tedious throughout the middle, with no dramatic tension at all, just the endless repetition of the same romantic declarations. It got a little better, a little more engaging near the end as the two protagonists work out their future together and with regard to Victoria's professional relationship with her family business.
I think it's going to be a while before I read any more of this author's work. I find that her novels are just not emotionally engaging enough for me.

I’m already counting down the days to the next one.

What I liked the most about it was both of them recognising their part on hurting their relationship; they both took ownership about their actions which led to the relationship's "downfall" and both of them acting together to make it right.
