About this item

  • 【Low Loss】: The loss of 25ft RG8X n to sma coaxial cable at 450MHZ signal frequency is less than 2.85db and the swr ≤ 1.15. There is no need to worry about signal loss for long-distance high-frequency use.
  • 【High-quality Material】: The inner conductor of type n to sma extension cable is made of solid copper, and the outer conductor is made of aluminum foil and tinned copper braid, which can maximum protect the signal over large distance with mini loss. 95% shield performance, 95% resistance to EMI and RFI.
  • 【Waterproof】: The outer material of rg8x coax cable is made of high-quality PVC, which is waterproof and durable. The shell of the uhf connector is made of high-quality copper nickel plated, which could be better in resist oxidation and corrosion, can be used in harsh outdoor environments.
  • 【Prevent Falling Off】: Our 50 ohm jumper cable is made solidly, its connectors is equipped with a 2.2" heat shrink tube with lined adhesive which is longer than other cable 's 1.1” heat shrink tube. It could support professionally connection between cable and adapters and prevent connector to pull out.
  • 【Widely Application】: This 50Ohm rg8X coax cable could be used for Analyzer, 3G/4G/LTE/ monitor/ router/ ADS-B/ arrester/ antenna/ modem/ ham radio and so on.

    Heavy duty cable
This is a heavy duty cable that we used for a Ham Radio application. Was a little difficult to maneuver and flex around my area since it’s so strong & heavy but it worked for the Ham Radio set up and that is what matters.

Very happy with this. It is low loss, and the connectors are decent. It's fairly heavy, making it a chore at times to wrap behind your gear. Keep that in mind.

I am always needing lengths of coax for antenna runs especially as I experiment with different antennas and hardware. I usually use RG58 but I wanted to try this because it is also 50 Ohm cable and a little thinner. It has the N Male connector on one end and an SMA male on the other. Both appear to be good quality connectors and are attached professionally. If that setup doesn’t work for your application, you can always replace them with other options. It’s a little stiffer than other cable I’ve used but that’s because of the solid core wire in the center. For my application, once it’s in place it’s done, so flex doesn’t matter much to me. The cable is 6.0mm on my calipers. It’s mounted securely with zip ties all along the way. I am only sending about 100 watts VHF through it to an omnidirectional antenna. So far, no issues that I can identify. I tried to torture the cables at the plugs to see if I could find any faults. There is a decent amount of stress relief and I couldn’t do anything to cause any signal loss. Time will tell how UV affects the portion of the line that is exposed to weather. So far so good. As with all kinds of cable, there are lots of options so make sure to check specs against the price and pick the best combination for you.

WOW! This is some quality, rigid cable. I have seen some good RG8X in my day, but this stuff would rival LMR 400. Very robust cable for the application. But then again, if you need a small radio or communications device that uses SMA connections to really reach out and touch someone, this is your cable.

This has gone into my Go Bag for the Tenways and SDR connections for RasPi. Tested both on base station 2M antenna and wide receiver discone. Amazing the difference vs. the rubber duck (but you would expect that). Also used to connect HT to my mobile antenna system in the truck, now offering a backup radio on the cheap.

Only negative is that they should provide a few adapters for other types of connections (male to male, female to female, etc., even BNC) but at the price point, you are getting what you paid for.

Definitely would recommend for anyone with this need!

Using this for an antenna run for an HNT crypto miner. Nice quality cable with solid connections. Has been working flawlessly. Would recommend.

So I picked up this cable for my ADS-B system. I needed a longer cable to extend my antenna to the roof for better reception.

The cable arrived quickly and securely packaged. Now I don't have the equipment to fully test the cable but I did put my Fluke meter on the cable to check the resistance. Everything seemed to check out from end to end (shield to shield and conductor to conductor). I also checked shield to conductor and found no issues.

After installation and relocation of my antenna, I'm getting way more range on my ADS-B system. I definitely understand the difference between low cost cables and the higher cost ones but for my project, this will be more than sufficient.

I definitely recommend this cable for simple projects like mine. For the higher end projects (HAM, etc.) where parameters are more critical, maybe not so much but might be worth a try.

Overall, super satisfied with this cable and wouldn't hesitate to order more on projects down the road.

I needed a short length of coax with type ‘N’ to type SMA, male to male, for bench testing. I found this short piece of RG-8X coax with the necessary fittings already made was just the ticket. I swept this six-foot piece with my SA and found it to be very flat up through one gigahertz.

You can see the loopback image along with the results of sweeping the coax. The fittings appear to be plated with something (gold?), whatever it is; it’s effective as the connections were good as evidenced in the SA signal. One end is pre-affixed with a type N connector and the other has an SMA attached. I attached several known quality fittings to each connector and they attached securely.

The type ‘N’ barrel connector and SMA splitter is shown for demonstration purposes and are not included with the purchase. I’m very happy with the cable, the only con I can think of is RG8X is rather stiff for bench use, but still, very quality cable.

A lot of cheaper coax I would be bit nervous to use outside, but this stuff seems really robust. It's a little stiff but not so bad that it can't be worked with.

The connectors seem like decent quality and well installed. Nice that they come with caps to protect the connectors too.

Sweeping with a VNA this cable is flatter across the amateur HF bands than a lot of my other RG8X cables!

For the price, this is a VERY solid cable it seems!
