How do I add my SmartTrack device to Apple's Find My app?

Press and hold the button on SmartTrack for 3 seconds and you will hear a tone. Open the Find My app and tap Items > + > Add Other Item. Find My will find your SmartTrack device. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup.

Does it have GPS?

More Wallet Friendly Than an AirTag

The Eufy Tracker Card is more wallet friendly than my AirTag in terms of size and price (at least while it is on sale). As you can see in the pictures, I compared it to an AirTag with a wallet holder case and the Eufy is at least half the thickness. That means it fits better in my wallet and therefore has a less noticeable bump when sitting down. I bought it at the $17 price point so it is less expensive than the AirTag. The major issue with the Eufy is that you cannot use Apple's precision finding to pinpoint the exact location of the wallet. While the ability to use sound to find the tracker works, it is not as convenient. I do not know it this can be solved with a software update or not. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Like most people my first location devise was Apple AirTag. Yes they are great and reliable with plenty of after market shock and water proof covers. These don’t take away from their reliability but some of these do hamper the audible beep. This Eufy tracker has many out of the box with no need to purchase covers. First off, they are credit card thin; second the auditable beep is loud and clear, besting the AirTag; third is that eufy works on your FindMy app. You do have to download their app but by doing so it gives you the option to give others the ability to track them for you you where AirTags only allows one person. Both devises are quality and reliable when it comes to tracking your personal items. Both are rightly priced and easy to use. But for the couple of extra ability’s the Eufy offers you’d be remiss if you didn’t try them.

I actually really like this product. The tracker itself is barely thicker than a credit card and fits no problem in my wallet. I like the fact that it can sync with find my app with iOS and the eufy app so you get all the benefits. Idk if other trackers make noise, but this being able to actually make sound so you can hear it to find it is great. Only downside is that it is iOS only. So Android users can't use this.

It works pretty good. Sometimes to find my phone I have to push the button a few times to get it to work. It does actually find your phone (make it ring) even when the phone is on silent. That is a great feature. I lose my phone in my home regularly so this is going to be really helpful in the future. It also keeps track of your wallet or purse since the flat, thin card has to be kept there (or somewhere else). It seems to work great.

It took a bit for me to adjust things so that the button doesn't get pressed while it is in my pocket which can be somewhat annoying, and from one end of my place (~1000sqft.) to the other, sometimes the out of range warning, "you may have forgotten wallet" happens which is obviously not necessary.

Inzwischen habe ich neben einem AirTag zwei Chipolo Spot, einen Atuvos und eine Pebblebee Card in Benutzung. Vor einigen Tagen erhielt ich die von mir gekaufte Eufy Card.

Alle Tracker lassen sich hinsichtlich der Genauigkeit der Ortsangaben der "Dauer" einer Mitteilung vergleichen: Es gibt keine Unterschiede, die Ortung erfolgt ja über die iPhones, iPads bzw. Macs mit denen sich die Tracker verbinden und die die Ortsinformationen weitergeben.

Ich habe noch nie die Gegenstände verloren, an die ich jetzt meine Tracker gehangen habe. Darum sollen sie mir nicht helfen, verlorene Gegenstände wieder zu finden. Ich wollte sie vorrangig dafür einsetzen, um mich zu informieren, wenn ich Schlüssel oder Brieftasche etc. irgendwo zurückgelassen habe. Diese Funktion halte ich aber in Apples WoIst-Netzwerk für unbrauchbar, weil die Benachrichtigung erst sehr spät erfolgt. Dann ist es in vielen Fällen aber wieder zu spät, um umzukehren und den vergessenen Gegenstand zu holen.

Meine Erwartung an die Tracker ist eine Mitteilung, wenn ich die Bluetooth-Reichweite zwischen Handy und Tracker überschreite.

Die eigenen Apps der unterschiedlichen Tracker ermöglichen kein Pairing, wenn der Tracker bereits in WoIst integriert ist. Die Eufy-App lässt sich jedoch trotzdem mit der Card verbinden, ermöglicht aber leider keine Warnung über das Zurücklassen, das ist in der iOS-Version der App im Gegensatz zur Android-Version nicht möglich. Dafür gibt es einen Stern Abzug.

Der zweite Stern wird abgezogen, weil die Batterie/Akku nicht getauscht oder aufgeladen werden kann. Dadurch muss das ganze Gerät in den Müll, im Gegensatz zu Chipolo gibt es kein Austauschprogramm, in dessen Verlauf die Geräte zumindestens recycelt werden und ein Ersatz vergünstigt angeboten wird.

Wenn man sich etwas mit den Trackern in Apples WoIst Netz beschäftigt hat, ist bekannt, das die Suche im Nahbereich nur mit Apples AirTags möglich ist, alle Tracker der Mitbewerber sehen das nicht vor, möglicherweise wird das von Apple unterbunden. Das ist zwar ärgerlich und sollte nicht zu einer schlechteren Bewertung führen. Bei meiner Bewertung war ich mir dieses Umstandes bewußt, er hat keinen Einfluss auf meine Bewertung.

Wenn ich nach Schlüssel gesucht habe, die Zuhause in irgend einer Tasche stecken, hat die Suche mit Hilfe der Töne der Tracker ausgereicht, den Tracker wesentlich schneller zu finden, als den AirTag über die Nahbereichs-Suche.

Mein Fazit der Eufy Card: Sehr praktisch, um in einer Brieftasche oder Kartentasche Platz zu finden. Leider nicht Nachhaltig durch aufladbaren Akku wie die Pebblebee Card. Keine Vorteile im Gegensatz zu den Mitbewerbern sondern eher Nachteile durch fehlendes Austauschprogramm. Ich ziehe die Pebblebee Card vor.

Nach dem Auspacken hat zunächst alles wirklich gut funktioniert. Aber nach nur 20 Tagen Nutzung (erhalten am 25.02.) hat die Karte heute (16.03.) offenbar den Geist aufgegeben. Wo ist findet sie nicht mehr und ich kann sie entsprechend nicht mehr nutzen. Das ist sehr ernüchternd und eigentlich auch nicht akzeptabel.
