Truthfully, I was a little weary of buying this album. I like power metal and all, but there reaches a point where the cheesiness of power metal over shines the musicality. This is not the case for this album. Sure, Heroes of Mighty Magic is full of lyrics that speak of knights, magic, and dragons that some may find cliche, but the musical compositions, vocal power, and blistering guitar solos are completely mind blowing! Every song on this album is huge and over the top in all the right ways!
A common complaint I've come across of songs from this album is the mix. I'll admit, I had a hard time listening to some of their songs initially on YouTube because of this. However, that all changed when I received the CD. Even in my subpar car speakers, the CD sounds incredible! I've never heard so many layers work so well together. So my advice to listeners would be to check out high quality versions of the songs before judging the mix. Low quality mp3s just don't cut it for this album.
It amazes me how much work was put into this album and how little attention it has received. So hopefully this helps spread the word! This is my favorite album of 2016 so far, by far! Hats off to you, Twilight Force! You've gained yourselves yet another Knight of Twilight's Might!

I was blown away when I discovered this band right before their newest album came out. Wow, just wow. The production value in this album is top notch. Nuclear Blast really went all out for this and it shows. The 2 disc packaging is the most amazing I've ever seen. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's actually like a story book, full color, glossy, with lots of illustrations. Just opening it up and looking through it is a pleasure. (One word of warning, the book case is a little too tall to fit in normal-sized racks. But it's totally worth the inconvenience.) Then, put the disc in and turn it way up. They use a full orchestra through the whole album and the engineering is top notch. The music is just the kind that I love in power metal. It's energizing, fun, and soars like a dragon over the countryside. Lots of lore and RPG/D&D elements. It's a joy to listen to and I can't recommend it enough. Just as with any music, I highly recommend getting a CD over mp3. Lossless gives music so much more life and detail. Storage sizes are so much different now than they were 10 years ago, there's less and less reason to compress now.
