A common complaint I've come across of songs from this album is the mix. I'll admit, I had a hard time listening to some of their songs initially on YouTube because of this. However, that all changed when I received the CD. Even in my subpar car speakers, the CD sounds incredible! I've never heard so many layers work so well together. So my advice to listeners would be to check out high quality versions of the songs before judging the mix. Low quality mp3s just don't cut it for this album.
It amazes me how much work was put into this album and how little attention it has received. So hopefully this helps spread the word! This is my favorite album of 2016 so far, by far! Hats off to you, Twilight Force! You've gained yourselves yet another Knight of Twilight's Might!
Heroes of Mighty Magic certainly addresses that complaint, while retaining the same outstanding song quality throughout its entirety. My only complaint with this album is an issue I have seen other people talk about as well. The mixing sounds a bit off. The vocals tend to get buried under the other sounds. But the songs themselves are great.
I really hope that the continued success of bands like Twilight Force and Gloryhammer, with their all-out commitment to their fantasy universes, leads to more bands emerging with the same kind of thing. They didn't necessarily invent it, but they're doing it extremely well. It's just really fun and entertaining. If you even remotely like this kind of power metal, you should listen to this band. You're not likely to be disappointed.

One thing this band does that few others do is capture a sense of joy and wonder. That can be best seen on the song There and Back Again, one of the two incredible super-epics on this album. Bands like Freedom Call and Stratovarius make happy music, but I've not heard such a genuinely happy metal song before this. I dare you not to grin while listening to it.
This album is loaded with standout tracks. My favorite one is To the Stars, though all of them are excellent. I couldn't recommend this more.

Generally fast-paced over the top bombastic nonsense, what more could you want?
If you like everything including the kitchen sink thrown into your rock experience, then you will love this. If you are only into metal or purely hard rock, then you might find this a bit too orchestral and operatic.
Mostly good fun if you keep an open mind, though I could have done without some berk spouting seemingly endless drivel throughout the tediously long spoken eleventh track.
Best to finish at T10, as T12 is only a short orchestral outro anyway. Up till then it wasn’t half bad.
If disc 1 wasn’t orchestral enough they give you an orchestral/operatic version on disc 2.
Track time just under 70 ½ mins for disc 1; 32 ½ mins for disc 2.
