My journey with PCOS started in my teens.

Like many others, the acne around my jawline and irregular cycles prompted me to visit my doctor.

Fast forward 4 years of dealing with weekly migraines caused by the pill, I decided to stop taking it.

And... all of my old symptoms came back!

I spent 10 years figuring out the best approach to support PCOS.

I believe that every women with PCOS has had the same frustrations internally and externally. It’s not easy to learn that you’re body is not working well. It’s not easy to hear doctors saying always the same (pill, pill, pill)Tameka Wood’s book is a light at the end of the tunnel and offers a natural way to heal PCOS in a direct and easy-to-understand way.I have been following the diet for a couple of weeks and have seen some results (I lost 7 pounds!). Can’t wait for other results.I couldn’t recommend this book more. Please buy it if you or someone that you love has PCOS.

What I love about this book is that the author doesn't blame you for your pcos and struggles like I have dealt with in the past. It's very validating and helpful of how I can move forward from where I am at. I have struggled to find any guidance with my diagnosis, reading this book changed that significantly. It went over everything, diet, lifestyle, supplements, exercise, and more. I appreciate the acknowledgement that standard expectations just don't work with pcos and it makes a world of difference to find your core cause and address that. I'm so grateful for this guide. After I've started implementing some of the instructions I've already felt more energy and less cravings. The only thing I would love more of is more guidance on specific foods that could work and meal ideas.

I was impressed with how accessible this book made much of the research and technical terms regarding PCOS. It's a difficult condition to live with and understand, especially when you have overlap between your root causes. In my case, I also have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, so getting to the heart of the problem can be overwhelming, and the sheer amount of changes that need to take place just to get me healthy again look like an impossible mountain to climb. My symptoms came on at a fairly early age, and it was ten years before I was officially diagnosed with either of the issues I have. Another ten+ years have passed with sporadic medical care and not nearly enough encouragement. Not having medical insurance coverage, I do a lot of research on my own. Books like this one, especially ones that have so much supplementary material, are extremely helpful. From doing previous research, I put a number of these protocols into play at the beginning of last year and felt really good between January and April. After that, I started reintroducing things into my diet and eventually went back to my old way of eating. It can be extremely hard to make dietary changes when you are so used to making meals with another person who does not have the same health concerns as you, which has been my case. Since discovering this book, I have been encouraged to begin these changes again and take control over how I steward the body I've been given rather than letting my symptoms run my life. I'm fed up with them, and reducing androgens, repairing my hormones, and learning how to thrive with PCOS has become my top priority. I highly recommend this book. I so appreciate its gentle and positive approach to a complicated yet critical issue more and more women are facing in the world today. It's very empowering.

I have tried so many things to deal with my pcos, always told by my doctor I eat too much (when in fact I have always restricted myself massively), since following the guidelines in this book I am seeing small changes in my body and mood. I plan to continue using the guidelines from this book and moving forward with my goals

Acá solo califico la calidad de la edición y la revisión, y en eso el libro esta muy bien escrito sin faltas de ortografía que hoy abundan en los libros mal editados. This book has genuinely helped me come to terms with and understand my PCOS and breaks it down better than any doctor ever has for me. It's inspiring without being pushy and gives useful suggestions and information. Honestly the best resource so far I have found for PCOS for the way it explains and is an easy read
