I have two of these - one is the older version with 4x USB A and 1x USB C ports and then this one with 2x USB A and 3x USB C. Both are great but with modern devices the extra USB C ports are more valuable to me since most of my devices use that now.

This works well in Europe/UK and Japan where I generally travel. It's kind of heavy so it can be a little floppy in EU wall sockets - I've never had an adapter work well in those unless it's the bulky grounded kind. But it will stay in place and works flawlessly. Even without carrying any other USB chargers I can keep most of my stuff charged up, and this plus a USB charger/power strip I can keep everything going. It is pretty easy to stuff into one corner or another of my suitcase once I've packed everything else.

I would recommend getting a set of fuses for it and keeping some of those in the zip case it comes with. I haven't had to replace one yet but I would hate to have this blow a fuse midway through a trip and not be able to use it.

I've pretty much stopped taking any of my dedicated outlet converters any more and just use one or both of these adapters instead. And as a bonus, it will also convert US outlets to work with EU/UK devices as well should you ever need to plug in something that way.

Have used this now overseas quite a few times. It has lots of choices for the different countries you might visit.
The device itself does not get hot. But please make sure before you plug anything in that it is wired to be plugged into an adapter. IE most hairdryers are not and will overheat which is not safe.
I did not have any issues plugging in my iPhone charger.
I also love its small size and the value for the money.
