Please note: HDMI to RCA cable is designed to connect and transfer signals from HDMI port to RCA port. This cable functions as a signal transmitter, but NOT a signal converter. As HDMI carries digital signals while RCA carries analog signals. In order for these two formats of signal to communicate with each other, both input and output devices needs to support the signal conversion function (code and decode), please kindly check with your user manual. If both input / output device do not support signal conversion, a signal conversion box is required. I have a older 60" Samsung DLP 1080i 120hrz. tv with no hdmi inputs. YES IT IS A ANALOG TV, Meaning IT "DOES NOT" PICK UP DIGITAL CHANNELS!!!! AND YES I USE MY XBOX 360 and PS3 and my hd CABLE BOX JUST FINE USING THIS PLUG. After properly setting my xbox, PS3, MOVIE/TV PLAYER to an hdmi setting that was compatible with the tv....the tv runs 1080i (NOT 1080P)!!!! and for all you trying to use a 1080i or 1080p output for a 720P or 420p tv or vise versa, That is why your cord(HEAD) isn't working. ***"The product is great! Picture and sound are great! Allows me to only have to plug one plug in the back of my video/audio products. All around does what its supposed to do."***

I bought this product because I was given for my birthday a net gear box to connect to my television. I do not own an hdmi capable tv so I serched for a cable and happened upon this cable. When I recieved this in the mail I was very anxious to try it and when I hooked it up something was wrong, it didnt work. I asked my brother to help me and he said it was probably the cable itself the ends are probably not connected he suggested trying it on another tv which I did and it still didnt work so I went to walmart to ask them how to get it to work and suprise!!suprise!! they said the exact same thing that my brother did. It was then that I was able to return the net gear box and got a roku box that works on any tv. I only wish that I can get my money back for this piece of s..t I purchased. So I am giving this a bad rating FMinus.

These cables are almost exactly what I was looking for. We ran  BlueRigger HDMI Cable (35 feet) - CL3 Rated for In-wall Installation- supports 3D and Audio Return [Latest HDMI version ] in the wall from closet where the cable box and DVD player are located to the corner of the room where the the armoire cabinet that holds the LCD TV (which fits perfectly in the cabinet) was located. The problem we ran into was the TV is a little dated and only has composite video (RGB) inputs. I installed two of these cables using $2 female/female couplers (one at at each end of the HDMI cable) and the picture and sound are great. I'm ordering two more sets to connect the DVD player.

I only rated it 4 stars because I needed the  PTC Premium GOLD Series HDMI Female/Female Coupler  and because I ordered it on November 26th and it didn't show up until December 14th.

BEWARE this cable will NOT convert a digital HDMI signal to analog composite video. It is just cabling, you need an adapter box like  ViewHD Universal HDMI to Composite / AV Video Converter, Support PAL / NTSC Standard TVs  to perform that job. It would be less confusing to people if this cable came with a female HDMI connection on one end and composite video on the other.

It may work for some but not for me. It took almost 8 weeks to arrive and only not to work. Didn't send it back or request a refund, not worth the time. I have an older flat screen, from 2006 and the HDMI port doesn't work. My goal here was to add a chromecast or fire tv stick using this cable but it doesn't work.
