This is a great little gadget. It was a pain hooking my cord up to my Sony Webby and then to my computer - and then it got to the point where for some reason it didn't want to work anymore. So I got this little gizmo. You just pop your Memory Stick ProDuo into it, plug the USB end into a USB port on your computer, and you can retrieve your files from the Memory card quickly and easily. Very convenient.

The main reason I bought this was because of what the product name says - Compatible with Sony Memory Stick Pro/Duo. I have another multi-card reader that apparently doesn't want to read Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo and I couldn't believe I had to buy another one. However, I don't regret buying this because it reads multiple cards and the one important card I bought it for. It works, it reads, it has a clearly-visible indicator light and its form-factor is very nice.

There's only one flew I have found with that and it's the build quality. I told you I use this for the Memory Stick Pro Duo… and while it's usable, getting it out requires a good set of nails or a tweezer. Practically less than 1/20 of the Memory Stick Pro Duo is sticking out and it takes a bit of effort to get it out. The other thing is that due to the effort, it's easy to break the spring that keeps the memory stick pro duo in place. While things still work, that does break the product slightly and, even though I didn't have the product for long, it could mess things up in the long run… maybe not now, but maybe later in time.

In short… well, I bought it for the Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo compatibility. Some other multi-card readers go "poof" on you in a short amount of time (and, I hate to admit it, even brand name ones by Kodak went kaput with this feature. Where does the money go to, right?) Be careful with it and ready the tweezers for that card. Be careful, it is pretty fragile as well.

This is a great little card reader. We recently purchased a sony camera that takes the memory stick duo card and didnt have anything to read the card with. A quick look on Amazon showed us this one so we ordered it. Plug in the card, plug this in to your computer and you are set. Very happy with this little portable reader.

This card reader works fine. Read and Write both work, the only problem is placing a card into the slot is not easy as it is not clearly marked which direction is the right way, and it also doesnt firmly hold the card in place once it is placed inside

For the price you can't beat these things. Yea, they are cheaply made and the internals are little loose inside. But for the money, use them for awhile and pitch them.

I hate having to use cables with my Sony camera. A new laptop only has the SD card slot, no 21 different reader feature. So it's these or a cable.

I like Sony quality but the way they make everything proprietary to them sucks. Is the Blu ray gonna be the next Beta tape? I refuse to buy Blu ray.

My computer will not recognize my memory card through this device. The card does not "fill the slot" and no matter which side I staggered it to, the card would not work.

It does however work on my SD card, & I could use a second one of those, so I didn't return it.

I'm pretty satisfied with the product. I have a 'Memory Stick Pro Duo' card for my Sony Cam. At first, my Mac refused to locate the external drive. It turned out, I had to insert the card the other way & not as instructed on the Memory Stick (that little card image near the slot). Flipped the card the other way & tried it on my Windows PC this time. Worked just fine. Now it works flawlessly on both my Mac & Windows. Although the card doesn't fit in perfectly every time & heats up pretty fast, its worth the price.

Very inexpensive and completely relilable. Love it and yes, I am still using a sony memory stick for a Sony DSC 707, still delivers the best quality pictures from histology slides from a microscope.
