Charges but doesn't sync 2nd gen iPod shuffle. iPod not showing up in iTunes. Tried on a couple of different machines with no luck.

I was so excited when I purchased this item, because I lost my original Ipod dock and I've been suffering at the gym without being able to use my Shuffle. I should have known that the price was too good to be true. When I plug my Ipod into the dock, the charge light will come on for several seconds and then just stop. The first day I got this I let it charge overnight, and it was still completely dead the next morning. After several more failed attempts, I realized the product (which isn't made by Apple)doesn't seem to be compatible. Returning it didn't make any sense, because I paid more for the shipping than I did for the product. If you're thinking of buying this item, my advice would be not to. Instead of buying it for the cheap price, I would just spend a little more money to buy a charger dock made by Apple!

I have used this a few times and it works great! I've bought other cheap chargers, but they did not fit right and cords were very short. This one is much nicer. Great price, too.
