Works great except for the noise

Worked great from the moment I installed this card to my system and is still running strong. Graphics are great for what the card can support (I'm not running too many graphic-intensive programs) but I've noticed the fan on the GPU is quite loud. I narrowed it down to the GPU cooler fan by keeping my case open and slowing the fan down with my finger. It appears to be a cheap 2" fan that hangs up at times possibly due to the power regulator on the card (my power supply is 350W with only a few items drawing power). While this is not ideal, it will not cause me to return the card just yet. I do, however, worry about the fan possibly sticking because the noise leads me to believe there is something causing a hang up in the fan's wiring. More to follow as I use the card.

I bought this to replace the 128mb hyper memory I already had....I can tell a big difference in stream video but still a little laggy...the fan does have some noise but not really that bad...it depends on where you store your CPU....So the big problem with this card in Nvidia's control panel...its not real response when you want to be...it runs really slow...my computer has a pentium 4 and 2.5 Gbs of memory....I like the video card but really was expecting a real big difference but not impressed....if your an extreme gamer get the extreme card your searching for...I would buy this card again, I suppose.....let me use it for a while to see how dependable this card really is....use caution when buying video card...make sure your motherboard can handle the 256mb first....does have an option in the control panel to track the temprature of the card...it gives the exact temp of the card and my computer has been on for hours now and the temp stays around 61 degrees....

Great card for the money

If you're a gamer, I'd have to recommend going a little higher than this card -- at least the 7300GT or a 7600+ card -- but I was building a new system and needed a more basic card to casually use with a few games here and there and this fit the bill quite nicely. My previous system had integrated GeForce 6150 and this was a decent step up w/o going overboard for my needs.

My only complaint would be with Amazon's slow delivery of it -- I live 15-20 miles away from Amazon and it took them 5 days to deliver it.

Economical card to upgrade to Vista

I purchased this card simply to be able to use all the features in Vista. I'd never bothered with a video card before because I don't play video games so what came with the computer is usually enough for me. The card was easy to install and I've had no problems with it. If you are a power graphics/video user this probably won't meet your needs but if you're like me and just need a little more video power for Vista this is a good solution.

This is a great card for the casual computer user. I dont play games so I dont need alot of power. My new PC shipped with an integrated graphics card Nvidia 6150le which was either defective or just weak. I plugged this card in and my computer looks great, especially on my 55 inch HDTV. I'd recommend it, especially for 5o bucks.

Good Deal, but. . .

Hard to beat the deal, especially after the rebate. 256M onboard, and apparently another 256M shared for a total of 512M.
Out of the box, the screen would blank out and reset when I right-click in WMP 11. That problem went away when I downgraded to WMP 9. But, then the PC would sporatically reboot while playing streaming video. It reported a driver problem, an exception wasn't being caught. I checked nvidia.com for a driver update and sure enough there was a recent one. That seemed to have fixed the problem.
I am running XP pro on Asus M2N4-SLI w/ AMD 4200+ and 2x1GB.
