I've placed these (four) clear strips on the bottom underside of my laptop. (I have the slick Dell XPS 13.) I now have a better grip on it when taking it out of my school bag. It also seems to help raise up the laptop a little, which is always good for a bit more ventilation. (See pic.)
Before installing, I cleaned the laptop underside free of oils and fingerprints as best as I could. Installation was straightforward.
My laptop wasn't "slippery" or moved a lot on a table, but these strips seem to help "grip" it onto the surface making it feel a bit more secure.
I would recommend this product for helping you to get a grip on your devices.

Use it on the back of phones to keep them from sliding around. I also used it to add to the back and lower edges of the new Apple TV remotes. I kept picking the remote up and without looking, I couldn't tell which way was up, so I'd press the touchpad by accident and mess up the program I was watching. I added the egrips to the bottom edge of the remote, so that when I feel to pick up the remote, I can tell which end is the bottom of the remote without looking at it (dark). That fixed my problem of accidentally hitting the touchpad at the top.

I love this product. I had it on my iPhone 5s and it was mazing how it wolud stay in place. I wish I had found this product a long time ago as I am one of those smartphone owners who does not like cases. The only problem I have with it for the iPhone 6s is that the camera on the 6s sticks out beyond the back of the camera and also beyond this grip material which makes that end of the phone still slide at that end of on a solid surfaces. It would be nice if they would make this material a little thicker for the iPhone 6s. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.
