It has a very nice weight, is not round but faceted which IMHO feels nicer in your hand, the outside is sturdy metal plus there is a REPLACEMENT TIP INCLUDED. I've used it on the app and it works great! Another plus: it turned out to be the least expensive.
BTW, my first try was the Nomad Brush Flex Stylus. I didn't like the feel in my hand because it's very thin, the brush hairs are too long and when one tries to use it on the app it just bends too much and it makes the strokes difficult to control. Back it went.
Second try was the Cosmonaut stylus; it has a nice feel around your fingers but the material on the outside feels and behaves like cardboard. It was hard to pry it off the tube packaging it comes in and when it finally came out part of this cardboard body was left glued to the inside of the tube. On using it with the app on the Ipad 2: I had to put some more pressure than expected to see the results
on the screen. It was returned.
First I bought a stylus whit disc point but every time I let the stylus fall down (you should not of course but it happens), the tip broke, so I'm tired of that, after that I bought one with fabric tip, It was great to draw, it has the best slide when I move the stylus trough the screen, but with time the tip torn up, so you need to replace the tip and have tip to change every time that happen and I don't have access to buy this kind of thing near me. So I looked for something more durable. Then I bought one Targus stylus with rubber tip and like with others stylus of rubber tip I also buy from Amazon it self, it keeps stock because the tip is too soft.
Well searching and searching again thorough Amazon I found this one, I tell my self one more to try, so I bought it. This one the tip of the Stylus is also of rubber but the rubber is not sooooo soft so when I draw doesn't stock soo much, it's a little hard to move the stylus because it doesn't not slide so well than the fabric stylus tips but I think its more durable and the resistance to slide it not so much.
So overall I think its a better stylus than others with rubber tip, it has weight for the artist that look for that, a pretty design and a semi hard rubber tip that I hope It last at least some months, and some more with the replacement included tip.
About the design I think it only can improve adding something to hang the stylus from the tablet or the neck maybe?? Like a hole or space to insert a cord or something, so this way we can hang it from that and not keep it in the pokets (options).
The barrel works very well with my arthritic fingers. There's a slight texture to the metal surface which makes it non-slip, and the triangular shape means that it doesn't roll off when I set it on a table.
Definitely worth the price I paid here at Amazon. If I lose it I'll order another the same day.
I wish that the tip was about 50% of its size, my tablet runs a full version of Windows 8.1. On a 7 inch screen precise contact takes some getting used to, and it's not perfect.
Ultimately I feel this product deserves 5 stars. I bought the Chocolate version for about 12 dollars with Prime and it's a good quality product at the price.
I recommend the Grip if you have big hands and want something more substantial than typical pencil girth, and the Slim for the opposite, but also for more precise drawing, sketching or even writing.
I found them both excellent for general use and the extra tip is really a nice touch, although these tips are very durable. You also can buy replacements, so in the long run, you save money vs. the 3, 5, and 10 packs you see on here for about the same price as one of these. Having tried a couple of the cheaper varieties they were exactly that.
Only thing missing is a clip or attachment if that is something you like. Personally, I prefer not having anything dangling or interfering with the grip.
