Cons of this products:
Horns where dented and the dents where impossible to remove. Package was smashed ans damaged.
You can see the seam line in the horn. it is extremely large in some spots and there was no attempt to hide at all.
Material is a mesh soft foam that has been formed to shape. Great lightweight, Bad for durability and not getting damaged.
These horns seemed bigger on my head than in the picture - which was fine with me! As other reviews documented, the horns sit on a gummy-plastic loop which sits like a headband behind your hair (or against the back of your skull) and then across the top of your head. You do have the ability to wear the horns forward or backward. I like them as they are pictured - looks badass. The loop doesn't move and it has a tab so you can make the circumference bigger or smaller depending on your unique skull size. It is also pretty secure. I thought it would slip around but it sticks pretty good. I combed a patch of hair over the band and. . boom. No one knew I hadn't grown these horns.
They are very light - probably some type of Styrofoam or something? It's great if you are wearing them all day. They are totally comfortable. They also move enough that if you are sitting in a chair and move your head and tap the horns - or someone feels the need to touch them without permission, Karl - they move without messing up the look. You could mount them on a headband, but, I had no problem with how they came. I wore these for two days and felt like I was wearing nothing.
So, if you want to get horny, I suggest these.
I do also suggest Elope figure out why so many of these are dented. My left horn has the dent - you can see it if you look in the photos. IDK, man.
As noted elsewhere, the packaging isn't very protective, and mine arrived with some dents. It didn't cause a problem as I could photograph only the good side, but it could be an issue if worn 'live'.
As another reviewer stated, the horns are made of hollow foam so they are very lightweight but I think they look solid and "hard" when on. I LOVE the look of these but I gave them a 4 because I will end up making some adjustments to them. The elastic band is kind of flimsy and I don't think it would do a good job of holding these on anyone's head unless they are standing still. I'm going to get a headband or the like and hot glue them to it... Or, maybe just replace the cord with a sturdier one. I'm going to be wearing these during a performance and will need to make sure they stay in place. I prefer the placement of the horns at a different angle than the supplied band allows, so again, because they are light-weight hollow foam it would be very easy glue them to a head band or to make other holes for a new band to hold them in whatever way you wanted.
Overall, I'm really happy with the way they look and their size but if you need them to be securely set on your head your may have to get a little creative. I'll post a product image with them on soon... My show is the 25th so I'll take one in full make-up then!
