Great defining effect but clumpy

For the price, this is great. I am in the forty-something age bracket, so my lashes are not as thick as they used to be. I prep by using Milano The Violet One lash primer. This mascara has been great for making my lashes look thick and defined. I'm not sure if I just got an old bottle, but it comes out very clumpy. If I just wipe the wand off with a piece of paper towel, it helps. The photos show a before and after (right eye has mascara while left eye doesn't). In the other photo, I wiped off the wand before applying on my right eye but didn't wipe off the wand before applying to the left eye. All in all, I can't beat the price and can deal with the clumps.

I've purchased this mascara multiple times (the false lash effect one) and have also tried the volumizing and waterproof version from this brand. I like them all, but this one has been my favorite for daily use. After trying multiple brands of mascara, I always come back to this one. I never have an issue with it being too clumpy upon application and you can build the coverage a bit if you want. The wand makes application easy, not messy or awkward. It makes my lashes look more bold and long, doesn't have any strong chemical smell while applying and doesn't smudge throughout the day. This one isn't waterproof so it's easy to remove as well (I use albolene makeup remover, massaging the lashes with it and rubbing them between my fingers, it's like a vasoline consistency) and then baby wipes followed by face wash. Never had any reactions or issues with this mascara and will purchase again.

Only down side in my opinion is that it flakes LIKE CRAZY when it starts to get even a little old and ends up all over my under eye area (I don’t usually have this problem). But it’s so cheap, I guess you could just plan to replace it more quickly than other mascaras.

Looking for cruelty free mascara, came across this - saw reviews, ordered. If you are getting older like me, eyes starting to look hooded, and have seen articles suggesting false lashes (not for me) to minimize/hide hood try this mascara. (Sensitive eyes, so far no reaction.)
My lashes are short these days, eyelash curler useless. Try this: scrape brush off on edge of mascara tube, put on two thin coats on each lash. When dry, looking into tilted mirror, one eye at a time, close your eye and keep putting on more mascara- keeping eyes closed (or almost closed) your lashes will begin to get longer, will curl as you put more mascara on, and it should only takes a few minutes. You will know when to stop when you’re happy with results. When eyes are open, your lashes (hopefully!) will be above hood, the same result as if you had false lashes on. To note: As you are adding more mascara, keep minimum mascara on brush, keep scraping off excess as you go, so not to have clumping. Spend time on tips building them up, wait few seconds to dry, then put on the whole lash brushing all the way through- good luck, hope this works for you!

Essence è un brand tedesco che produce cosmetici caratterizzati da un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo e da una catena produttiva da sempre 100% cruelty free.

Venendo al prodotto specifico in questo caso si tratta di un ottimo mascara dall’effetto allungante, uno dei preferiti in assoluto di mia figlia più piccola.

Ma andiamo a vedere nel dettaglio tutte le caratteristiche di questo interessante prodotto sperando possano essere utili a chi si sta avvicinando all’acquisto e vuole saperne qualcosa in più.

✔️ MARKETING/PACKAGING – Tutti i prodotti di cosmesi che escono sul mercato, di qualsiasi brand essi siano, sono sempre supportati da una campagna Marketing molto forte e talvolta anche aggressiva. In questo caso la formula “regala ciglia lunghe e incredibilmente voluminose, effetto ciglia finte” tende a rassicurare le potenziali clienti in un settore dove escono sul mercato decine e decine di prodotti al giorno, tutti più o meno simili. Ma sarà vero? Una volta tanto sembrerebbe proprio di si.

Il packaging è molto grazioso e perfettamente in tema con il nome “Princess” visto che riporta la forma di un lussuoso abito da sera, in nero e color menta.

✔️ STESURA – La stesura è semplice ed immediata ed il prodotto si distende con buona facilità; i risultati sono soddisfacenti perchè si arriva a definire bene tutto l’arco delle ciglia, dalle più grandi alle più piccole con un solo passaggio, anche grazie all’ottimo scovolino.

✔️ VOLUME – La funzione principale del prodotto, ovvero l’allungamento e la definizione delle ciglia, è ampiamente rispettata. Al termine del trattamento le ciglia risultano allungate, volumizzante, brillanti ed ottimamente definite.

✔️ COLORE – Il colore nero brillante che viene rilasciato al termine dell’applicazione non passa inosservato e rende gli occhi evidenziati e valorizzati. Non abbiamo riscontrato quelle sbavature fastidiose che producono “l’effetto panda” ma soltanto qualche grumo di troppo.

✔️ TENUTA – Ottima direi, senza alcun dubbio, perchè riesce sempre ad arrivare a fine giornata senza perdere volume e colore e senza macchiare. Qualche grumo lo rilascia ma nulla che valga la pena di essere sottolineato. Ottimo davvero.

✔️ SCOVOLINO – Lo scovolino ha una forma conica piuttosto classica e a mio avviso resta sempre uno dei migliori in assoluto, sia per la definizione che per l’allungamento. Ottimo e funzionale.

✔️ WATERPROOF – Questo non è un prodotto Waterproof, quindi fate attenzione alla pioggia.

✔️ PROFUMAZIONE – Neutra, come spesso e volentieri accade per questa tipologia di prodotti; si avverte comunque una profumazione leggerissima dovuta sicuramente ad alcuni oli presenti nella composizione.

✔️ INCI – Come tutti i prodotti cosmetici consumer di questa fascia gli ingredienti non sono tutti propriamente “naturali” ma Essence si sta sforzando per arrivare alla produzione di cosmetici che siano al 100% (o quasi) vegani; qui di seguito comunque la lista degli ingredienti prelevata direttamente dal sito ufficiale del fornitore:
