The Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner!
5 out of 5 stars
The Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner!
I recently purchased the eufy L60 SES Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, and after weeks of use, I can confidently say that it has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. This smart vacuum is a game-changer for maintaining a clean home without the hassle of daily manual vacuuming.Design and Build Quality:The eufy L60 SES is sleek and modern, with a low-profile design that allows it to slip under furniture effortlessly. Its matte black finish gives it a premium look, and the overall build quality feels solid and durable. I appreciate the minimalistic design, which doesn't scream "tech gadget" but still looks like a high-end appliance.Performance:When it comes to performance, this vacuum excels in several key areas. The mapping technology is impressive. It uses laser navigation to create an accurate map of your home, ensuring it doesn't miss any spots. The mapping is highly customizable through the app, where you can set no-go zones, customize cleaning schedules, and even target specific areas for deeper cleaning. The vacuum follows an efficient path, avoiding obstacles and making sure that every inch of the floor is cleaned.Suction power is strong, especially for a robot vacuum. It easily handles pet hair, dirt, and crumbs on both carpet and hard floors. The eufy L60 SES has multiple cleaning modes, and the suction automatically adjusts when transitioning between different floor types. For carpets, it ramps up the power, and on hard floors, it runs quieter while still picking up everything in its path. I was particularly impressed by how well it handled the edges and corners of rooms, which are usually a challenge for robotic vacuums.Smart Features:One of the standout features of the L60 SES is its AI-powered obstacle avoidance. Unlike older models, it rarely gets stuck or tangled in cords or under furniture. It also recognizes furniture legs, shoes, and other objects to avoid bumping into them, making it less intrusive while cleaning. This feature has drastically reduced the need for me to "robot-proof" my house before running the vacuum. The smart app integration is seamless and user-friendly. I can control the vacuum from my phone, start or stop a cleaning session remotely, or set up scheduled cleanings for when I'm not home. It also integrates with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, which makes starting a clean as simple as saying, "Alexa, start the vacuum." The app also gives real-time updates on the vacuum’s progress and alerts me when it’s done or if there’s an issue, like a full dustbin.Battery Life:The battery life is another big plus. The eufy L60 SES can run for around 2 hours on a single charge, which is more than enough to clean my entire 1,500 sq. ft. home. When the battery is low, it automatically returns to its charging dock, and once charged, it resumes cleaning right where it left off. This self-sufficient feature is incredibly convenient, as I never have to worry about the vacuum stopping halfway through a cleaning session.Maintenance:Maintenance is minimal with this vacuum. The dustbin is large enough to hold debris from multiple cleanings, and it’s easy to remove and empty. The filter is washable, which helps save on replacement costs, and the brushes are designed in such a way that they don’t get tangled with hair as easily as other models I’ve used. Eufy has made it easy to keep the vacuum running in top condition with simple-to-follow maintenance reminders in the app.Noise Level:One of the most pleasant surprises was how quiet this vacuum is. Even on the higher suction settings, it’s quieter than most vacuums I’ve owned, and on the standard setting, it’s barely noticeable in the background. This makes it ideal for use during the day without disrupting work, conversation, or leisure time.Overall Impression:In conclusion, the eufy L60 SES Robotic Vacuum Cleaner is a high-performing, smart, and reliable cleaning device that has made maintaining a clean home so much easier. Its powerful suction, advanced navigation, and customizable features through the app make it one of the best robotic vacuums I’ve ever owned. It's perfect for homes with pets, a variety of floor types, and anyone who values both convenience and efficiency. If you’re in the market for a high-quality robot vacuum that offers great value for money, I highly recommend the eufy L60 SES.

Background: I have a shedding dog, so I bought this in hopes that by running it every-day, it would pick up on some of the dog hair on the floor.

What I like:
-VERY easy to use.
-easy to follow instructions
-has a sticker on the bottom so if it ever stops and beeps, you can flip it over and it says exactly what the beeps mean (one beep means one thing, two beeps means another--which is SUPER helpful!).
-color on top clearly shows what mode it is in (blue-ready to go, orange-needs to charge, red-problem to fix-such as emptying the tray).
-very quiet. I can work on stuff with it in the room and it does not bother me at all (my dog also does not mind it).
-works great on white carpet and easily transitions from my living room to dining room (which has a slight bump).
-when its low on battery, it does not die where it is at, it just turns off the vacuum then finds the home doc and charges itself.
-just works really well. I run it everyday and I am impressed by how much stuff it gets (especially when it goes under things such as the couch).
-if it gets caught on a cord, it usually takes 5-10 seconds but then it stops the suctioning and moves away (releasing the cord or other item). However if you have a small cord you should put it up (and you should regardless, I just noticed it doing this a few times and thought it was neat, but I do try to pick up all cords).

What could be improved:
-nothing really in particular to this.
-It does not work well on anything black, but this is true for all robot vacuums. It sometimes gets stuck when it goes on the black carpet we have with the black chairs (I suspect because it can not detect them), but this has not happened often. My dog has a black mat for her food and water and it always bumps into it and spills the water, but again, this would occur with any robot vacuum.
-Also, make sure the doc is against a wall because otherwise it will move and never charge (self explanatory, but I did not do the first time and it kept trying to doc and was just pushing the doc around the floor).
-Finally, you do have to dump out the vacuum particles almost every time you run it (if you do a full circle/battery cycle). It is really easy to dump and beeps when it needs to be emptied. Again, nothing really negative, just something to note.

Overall, I really like this! It does a nice job cleaning up the dog hair and other things that get on my floor and saves me a lot of time not vacuuming daily. If you have a dog, I would watch them with this first before you use it. My dog was initially scared of it but sniffed it's "butt" and now they are cool and she does not mind it at all. Pleased with this product and would recommend! :)

**UPDATE**
On another note, Eufy has amazing customer service! I received an email from them addressing each of my "what could be improved" components with more information on the product. Very impressed.

I just received my robovac this afternoon, and let me tell ya: I already absolutely love it. I have named him Spazz, since the first time using him, he went in all sorts of seemingly random directions and was completely aggressive with ANYthing in his way. I'm talking full - bore, ram into it and push it.
Then, as I realized, he was simply mapping his parameters and once he learned them (which didn't take long) he just did his thing and went right back to the charging station and rested. Here is my feedback:
1. I had a little trouble with the app. I tried logging in several different times with several different passwords and I kept getting a very cryptic message, that wasn't even complete! Just a quick flash on my screen and I cannot for the life of me tell you HOW I ended up finally logging in. But I did and will never log out. Ever. Just in case.
2. It took me a few tries (before I came to the conclusion that it was my error not the machine) to get Spazz to connect to the app. Little did I know that since the power station (some like it hot) is positioned relatively close to the Internet router already, I did not need to find it, but simply press the start/home buttons at the same time to reset the wifi and then connect to the app via bluetooth.
3. I am assuming Bluetooth always needs to be on in order to control Spazz, but at night when my phone is charging I'll turn it off and turn it back on in the morning. Not sure I like the idea of always having Bluetooth running since it is a battery drainer.
4. I also am not a fan of allowing ANY thing to use my location, except GPS, but alas, if I want to control Spazz remotely (this unit did not come with a remote, btw) I am at the mercy of this requirement. I also have outdoor cameras by the same company, so they know my location already anyway I suppose.
5. I like the suction Spazz has: he even picked up a sock that my boyfriend lacksidasically left on the floor. Which caused a red flashing error and the voice on the charging port yelled at me saying to clean the roller brush. So I flipped Spazz over and lo and behold, there was a sock halfway in and halfway out of the roller brush. Pulled it out and good as new. So, suction is AMAZING.
6. Speaking of suction, he does a great job of getting up dog hair. I have 2 dogs, one with very thin hair and the other with a wiry undercoat and it is all gone within the cleaning time.
7. And touching on that aspect, it really doesn't take THAT long. Yes, it takes longer than I do BUT I also do not go in any kind of pattern like Spazz NOR do I go over the same area more than once. In essence, he is cleaning my floors better than I do and I'm kinda ticked about it.
8. The fact that I can control how much suction he has using the app is great. Even though he features a BoostIQ, changing the suction depending on the material, I still like that I can get a more thorough cleaning using MAX. Does it use more battery? Yes. Does it clean more? Perhaps. Does it make me FEEL like it's cleaning more? Absolutely.
9. The mapping accuracy is indeed, well, accurate. I moved him upstairs to do my two bedrooms and the hallway and at first he was like, 'uhhhh I haven't been here yet. What's going on? Where am I? Who are you?!' but then he settled down and mapped out the areas just fine and went along his merry way.
10. I have to de-snag him from cords every once in awhile and give him a little nudge transitioning from the downstairs hallway to the bathroom, but honestly once he learns his map, he avoids such obstacles and has even figured out how to get over the hump from the threshold in the bathroom. Basically lifts up and scales it like he's climbing Mt. Everest, which to him, may seem like it.
11. I like the fact that he empties himself and any hair caught on the brush is quickly razored away when he goes home. Yes it's a bit noisy but it's only for a minute and I'll take that over needing to manually pull hair out like I have to in my regular vacuum. Not getting my hands all gross is a huge plus. And it really doesn't seem like there is anything tangled in it anyway. I have long hair but I'm pretty adamant about getting it thrown away even though I know there's some strands about.
12. Spazz's functionality is top - notch. Nothing has gone wrong, other than the few things with the app connection and the wayward sock incident, as it is now known as.
13. The dogs do not seem to be bothered by him at all, just curious as to what this new thing is in their space and my male quickly dis-trusted Spazz to NOT suck up his favourite bone so he snaggled it up and went to another room. My female watched Spazz very intently, just in case he may actually have legs and feet and scurry away. Thankfully she did not try to bite him like she does with my regular vacuum!
14. I have a robot trash can (motion sensour) in my kitchen and Spazz knocked into it while mapping and I told him 'that is another robot. There better not be any interaction between the two of you and don't even think about communicating.' Only time will tell what transpires between them. If we don't turn up for awhile, do a wellness check. If there's a putrid odour, but the floors are clean and the garbage has been taken out, just know humanity has lost.
For everyone complaining it is not immediately perfect right out the box: there IS a manual on line. Read it. Study it. Learn it. Embrace it. If you cannot find the time to actually READ something, watch a video since most people believe that because you watched a 3 minute video, you're automatically brilliant and know everything about it. It will never be perfect in any way, shape or form. Remember, computers are only as smart as the person using them. Take some time to get to know your machine and HAVE PATIENCE!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This crazy little device works
Reviewed in Canada on August 15, 2024

The media could not be loaded.
If you’re constantly sweeping hardwood floors for accumulated pet fur and dust, this pretty remarkable little device will do much of that job for you. It isn’t perfect but it’s very good. It senses steps and won’t fall down them. If it can get under a bed, it can eventually find its way out. After two hours of randomly travelling around the floors of your home, it will be filled with dust, dirt and fur. Read the instructions carefully before you use it, clean out its dustbin every time. if you followed the installation instructions for the charger, it will find its way and recharge itself when its batteries run down. Water is its enemy, don’t leave water in its way. And get all small loose items off your floor first. For the money, it’s pretty amazing.

It does have one shortcoming. When I remove the dustbin and filter, I wash them and leave them to dry. It’s easy to start the device after it has recharged, sometimes a day or two later, while forgetting to reinstall the dustbin. It will then run around the house cleaning the floor and blowing the dust out into the air. It needs a sensor to prevent this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A ton of value in this model (L60 SES)
Reviewed in Canada on April 4, 2024
Style: L60 SESVerified Purchase
This thing is great we have 2 super shedder dogs that blow their coats in the spring and running this every 12 hours has really kept the dog fur tumbleweeds to a minimum. We have always had issues keeping up with the fur output but it's taken care of now. The hair cutter also works great never any hair or fur wrapped around the bristles just the very ends need to be cleaned once a week or so,

The only cons I see are on max power the battery drains over 1% a minute if you have a larger house you will need to run the power lower or it will need to recharge in between rooms. The filter on the dustbin is also a little on the small side so it will require cleaning more often. Likewise the dust bags in the base are not huge so we nearly filled it in a week vs the advertised 60 days when the dogs were shedding this spring. The base is also loud, like industrial shop vac loud when emptying the robot.

With that said it still gets 5 stars from me, it cleans the tons of dog fur incredibly well, the app works good. It avoids everything it could get stuck/tangled in. Running it on the second highest suction it still cleans just as good and has 50% battery left when done as we have alot of hard floor. The self emptying works great just a little loud, the hair cutter works excellent and it goes at least a week without any intervention, 10 minutes of cleaning the robot a week for all the hours of vacuuming is a great trade.

Will be looking at the Eufy X10 Omni in the near future when we want a mopping robot!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased - except for the chore of cleaning the roller.
Reviewed in Canada on October 14, 2024
Style: 11S MaxVerified Purchase
My wife wanted something to make it easier to clean under the bed. We bought the 11S Max based on positive reviews and it has lived up to those reviews.

It is very basic but it does the job. No mapping of the house, no self emptying feature, no app. All we do is put it into a bedroom, close the door and let it do its thing and judging by the amount of stuff it sucks up, it does it very well.

The random motion , as opposed to straight lines, means that it might go over the same area more than once and in different directions. This gives better cleaning. When the battery gets low it will return to the base charger as long as the signal from the base is not blocked by e.g. walls.

Out of curiosity I set it going on our upper level and was impressed that it did not fall down the stairs. It gets a little way over, the sensors register that and the machine then backs up.

Emptying the collector is easy but removing fluff and hairs from the roller is a bit of a pain. The tool provided helps but even so it is not easy. We considered return the 11S for an L60 with self emptying but that only works with an app and my wife did not want to bother with that. For now. But, the thought of a more powerful machine machine that maps the whole house may eventually be too tempting to resist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best For Hair
Reviewed in Canada on April 15, 2024
Style: L60 SESVerified Purchase
Edit: BEST robot vacuum that I have ever owned for hair. After several months of use, there is not a single hair that is tangled in the brush. Great job Eufy!

Going to buy a second one once they go on sale for upper floor of our house. My thoughts below

PROS
-The auto hair cutter/detangler is a very unique feature of this vacuum and has withstood tons of my wife's hair with no problems thus far.
-Replacement parts are readily now available (this is a very important consideration for robot vacuums)
-Eufy app is great. Had no issues defining rooms once preliminary map was made. Haven't encountered any significant bugs. Appreciate the "number of uses" and "time spent cleaning" metrics especially.
-Suction power is excellent. Have not noted any issues with it leaving behind anything significant/measurable.

CONS
-No extra replacement parts are included in the box (a small gripe)
-Once, the vacuum got lost and abandoned current task, returning home
-As expected, the base station is quite loud when emptying out the vacuum. Don't do this while you are sleeping or there are noise sensitive activities nearby (meetings etc).
