    224 customers mention "Camera quality"196 positive28 negative

Customers like the camera's quality. They say it works well, has good picture and visibility at night, and is reliable. The recording functionality works, but saved videos are not in 3K resolution.

    101 customers mention "Motion tracking"72 positive29 negative

Customers like the motion tracking of the security camera. They say it auto-tracks motion and follows any movement in the yard. The motion detection has been accurate after adjusting the settings. The camera really follows the person well, and the PIR sensor will trigger the alerts. However, the AI tracking can work if you have one object right in front of the camera, recording all your movements. It is great at not detecting moving bushes and has an AI feature that allows it to follow that person until it gets out of range.

"...ensures nothing escapes the camera's view, and the motion detection has been accurate after adjusting the settings...." Read more

"...Cameras work great. Video is excellent, AI tracking is good, automations are good. I love the 3x zoom camera in addition to the wide angle...." Read more

It has 360° pan and tilt coverage, 2K resolution, and 2000-lumen floodlights. The unit is a clean white that matches freshly painted white soffits.

"...I want warm white light. The color temp isn't too blue, however, so I can live with it. Does not tilt up high enough...." Read more

40 customers mention "Value for money"35 positive5 negative

Customers appreciate the value for money of the security camera. They mention it's worth the additional cost, has clear images even in rain, and no monthly fees. The eMMC card eliminates monthly fees and privacy concerns. There is also no need for cloud subscriptions or annual support.

Customers have mixed opinions about the brightness of the security camera. Some say the lights are bright and provide good illumination, while others mention they don't light much past 140 degrees, the floodlight doesn't detect them until they're almost at their door, and one of the floodlights stopped working after installation.

"...The floodlights are incredibly bright (2000 lumens), offering excellent illumination for my backyard at night...." Read more

"...The built-in security lights are also a nice feature and super-bright Lessons learned: -..." Read more

Others mention that it does lag and picks up false motion. There is a 3-4 minute delay before you are notified and many times the object is not the person or pet. The floodlights take too long to turn on when motion is detected.

"...Camera is pretty responsive and the notifications are MUCH quicker than my other cameras...." Read more

**UPDATE**I had a warranty claim pretty quickly. Not sure what happened, but I ended up with 1 dead camera out of 2. To my surprise, they seem to have addressed my major gripes about the S hook and the wire terminals. This looks way better (pic attached)! There is now a nylon loop to hold the camera up while you do the wiring. the wires have reusable Wago-style connectors, which ought work very nicely, especially negating the need for a screwdriver to connect wires now. Very good.______________________________________________________________________________Original Review:Cameras work great. Video is excellent, AI tracking is good, automations are good. I love the 3x zoom camera in addition to the wide angle. No need for a cloud subscription is a huge plus, like everyone else is saying. Overall, I'm happy, even though one of 2 has died within 2 weeks of installing it and now I have to figure out what the RMA is like. For the $, I'm glad I got these, because for even more money, 24/7 recording is a must have. I don't think there is anything on the market that has everything this has with none of the downsides until you get to $1000+ cameras.Gripes:No Matter, this is a huge deal, but I'll consider these an interim solution and one day they'll get replaced with Matter-enabled cameras when they come out.No video in Google Home. Only floodlight control.Floodlight color temp is not adjustable. I want warm white light. The color temp isn't too blue, however, so I can live with it.Does not tilt up high enough. My front yard has a very slight uphill grade. These cameras weren't designed with any up tilt. As a result, the 3x camera can't even reach the horizon. Not an issue with the wide camera. This is an an easy oversight and would have been an easy thing to avoid, just design the tilt limit to go above horizontal 10 degrees or so.My biggest issues are with installation...2 screws that secure the camera to its base, the last thing you do for physical installation, are on the sides. Depending on what you have near the camera, it could be difficult or impossible to get at those screws. In my case it meant an angled screwdriver. It would have just been better if they put the screws in the bottom/front face instead of the sides. The big silly S-hook to hold the camera up while you make the wire connections is dumb. High-end CCTV cameras use a cable lanyard that stays on the camera and tucks away when you button up the camera. This thing has to be kept somewhere handy if you ever need to bring the camera down. The worst thing about install is the wire connector/terminal block...1. the screws that pinch the wires are WAY TOO SMALL. I don't feel good about how secure the wires are in there with such tiny screws2. you can't fit a normal philips screwdriver in the plastic wire terminal housing, got to find a micro screwdriver. I think the screws would fit a #1 philips bit, but it's too deep and the plastic around it is too small diameter to fit a #1. Also since they're so small, the good luck not stripping out the philips head on the screw with the undersized screwdriver you have to use.3. once you have the wires tightened into the terminal block, you're supposed to press it into it's place in the camera base, but it's just a friction fit. You end up fighting it into place, and it pops out of place easily because the copper wires are stiff and trying to pop it out all the time. The whole wire terminal block they used is total garbage and they need to do better. This is the single worst thing about this camera... if they last more than a couple years, that is.

I recently installed the Eufy Floodlight Camera E340, and it has exceeded my expectations. The dual-camera setup provides exceptional clarity, with a 3K wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens for detailed coverage. The floodlights are incredibly bright (2000 lumens), offering excellent illumination for my backyard at night.

Setup was straightforward, and the Eufy Security app is user-friendly, making it easy to configure motion zones and fine-tune settings. I appreciate the option for local video storage without subscription fees, a big cost-saving feature. The 360-degree pan and tilt function ensures nothing escapes the camera's view, and the motion detection has been accurate after adjusting the settings.

One minor drawback is the need for wired installation, but the constant power supply ensures uninterrupted surveillance. Overall, it’s a high-quality, feature-packed security solution worth the investment.

This camera was purchased to replace an Solar Eufy 2K S40 Security Camera which had been getting slower and slower to recharge.

      Overall:
      - Installation wasn't too difficult; power was run from an unused outlet located in the attic prior to mounting the camera.
      - The inside back of the camera body includes a small strap that allows for the camera to be hung on the mounting base making wiring hook-up very easy.
      - Camera setup was also super-easy since we already use the Eufy App for other cameras
      - Its now been in operation for over a week in extremely sub-frigid weather (Kansas City, MO) and has performed very well. Its so much better than the previous camera.
      - The built-in security lights are also a nice feature and super-bright

      Lessons learned:
      - I used Romex 14/2 wire from the power source. Unfortunately, the included splicing connectors were too small; instead I used three, red, butt splicing connectors I already had.
      - The installation directions are online; not in the box.
      - Its easier to set the camera up inside; before mounting it (which I didn't do, so it took longer)
      - This camera accepts a max 128gb micro-sd card; located in the base of the rotating camera head. Should you use it ensure to install it before mounting or setting up. Otherwise its not to access upside down.

This camera works. AI video captures and tracks movement. Can be set to record 24/7 or at designated time frames. The lights are great, with various settings. Definitely will buy more for around the house. Replaced the night owl system which absolutely failed. If your internet is good, you can view your feeds away from home.

I didn’t hook this directly into the electrical system of the house. The white, green/yellow, and black wires were 16 gauge, so I bought a 16 gauge extension chord, sniped off the female-end, clipped the wiring together, and plugged it in. That easy!

The screws are small and Philips it was hard to keep the screws on the end of the screw driver. If they used Torque screws or Square screws it would have really helped. The video and lighting is fantastic could not be happier. I was quite surprised that it actually panned and followed targets….:) Thanks Eufy. I also bought the Base and installed a 1tb hard drive so no more monthly fees. It was costing me 220 $ a year in fees from their competitor and the quality was poor, they only kept the videos for 30 days. With Eufy there are no fees and I decide when to delete videos with the 1tb hard drive on the base station. I think I am good for 10 years.

This is a high quality camera and the pan function is very good.

      Pros: - No monthly subscription.
      - Can control and view remotely from the App.
      - Push notifications to your phone.
      - The A.I. can detect people, pets, and vehicles, and also pan the camera to follow them.
      - You can set zones to detect and zones to ignore. And you can set privacy zones to not record.
      - when paired with the Eufy homebase 3, 24/7 recording is supported.

Cons: - The A.I. is still learning so it gets confused easily, I had to turn off push notifications because every time it snows it would constantly notify me of people being detected when it would just be snow flakes.
      - The detection zone doesn't work, the camera constantly detects vehicles driving by outside of the detection zones
-If you set privacy zones the camera will no longer pan.

Works like a charm. Easy setup. But on Google home app. It shows up as a light and only controls the light. You have to go into the eufy app to view the camera. Not like a doorbell cam

I tried multiple different brands of cameras in my last years installing cameras in the buildings I manage. Eufy cameras are the best.

Now with this one, t’s cool to have a camera that can follow individuals, and it works really well! I also like the feature that we can record 24hrs, all the time.
