Redford Williams, M.D., is director of behavioral research at Duke University Medical Center, professor of psychiatry, and associate professor of medicine. He interned at Yale University School of Medicine and did two years of research at the National Institutes of Health. He is the author of The Trusting Heart as well as dozens of scientific papers.

This book is easy to read and provides a number of helpful tools that you can actually use in everyday life to deal with your anger. There is a very long chapter about the research that was done to support the findings, but even the author says you can skip it if you're not interested in that information. I skimmed that chapter. It does not inhibit to understanding and applying any of the tools. The tools chapters are short and to the point. They use everyday examples and always summarize with bullet points.
