i had to buy this expensive book for my database class. and even though when i bought it, it was around 160, it was a good book because, it did a really good job explain why databases were set up the way they were. this book i found that it provided with sufficient amount of detail to grasp subject without actually boring you to sleep. the examples did a good job in helping me to understand databases because i am more of a visual type of person. the only thing i hated about this book was that it was soo expensive when i bought it. also i managed to get my hands on the 8th edition of this book and i did not see a noticeable difference where pearson education is able justify the high cost of this book.
