For well over a half century, Andre Norton was one of the most popular science fiction and fantasy authors in the world. With series such as Time Traders, Solar Queen, Forerunner, Beast Master, Crosstime, and Janus, as well as many standalone novels, her tales of adventure have drawn countless readers to science fiction. Her fantasy novels, including the bestselling Witch World series, her Magic series, and many other unrelated novels, have been popular with readers for decades. Lauded as a Grand Master by the Science Fiction Writers of America, she is the recipient of a Life Achievement Award from the World Fantasy Convention. An Ohio native, Norton lived for many years in Winter Park, Florida, and died in March 2005 at her home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

A great Norton vision and tribute

Lyn McConchie is the best of those who continued Witch Worlds stories. Ciaara's Song is one both of Home and future. Well worth the read. Not rip roaring sword and Sorcery, but that wasn't Norton anyway. This is bravery and people and decency.
I'll read anything with Lyns name on it knowing she is true to Andre's vision.

I read many of Ms. Norton's books years ago and just wanted another. This combination of writers was wonderful. Much appreciated and enjoyed.

Great story

Great plot, great Characters, but that is what I've come to expect from Andre Norton. Good to read about a country in the Witch World Series that isn't written about much.

More good reading for Andre Norton fans
Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2015
As always, Andre Norton's books are enjoyable even when set in a dark time in the history of her "world". Lyn McConchie helps keep up the tradition of strong female characters and this book fills in some gaps in the events leading up to the "turning".

More on the Witch World

Story is told mostly by the main character. This story also fills in some of the gaps in what happened to whom after their stories were told. There is some history then as the tales progress.

Starts out great

Nicely done, but I wish the author had not rushed during the middle and end, the story begins to feel more like an outline at times.

Due to excess of books to read I have not read this one yet but did skim it quickly and it looks to be up to the joint authors usual standard.
