I like this book very much. It has very many solutions in it which are available for many illnesses. I had this book before, however I lost it somehow. That is why I ordered it once more. I like it for the History, original name, what it can be used for as a cure, and the cations of every Herb listed inside of this book.

I gave a book like this one to my friend and I bought one for my self. I had to have it.

I like that this book has a precautions; it's good to know what to look out for. For instance; Fenugreek. You should use with caution if you have a family history of breast cancer. I would have given this 5 stars but it seeams if there could be some other more common herbs included that were not. Other than that, this is a fantastic book. I would highly recommend. The product was shipped as described.

I just wish this book had more color pictures of the herbs and what they looked like. I got another book called Medicinal herbs and use that one to look at the colorful pictures and a not so good description of what the herb is good for. This book has and excellent description and uses, etc. just black and white pencil drawings.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like having this as reference
Reviewed in Canada on May 17, 2018
I purchased this book because I was finding too much contrasting information on herbs when I would search for them. Even though it's an old book, I like having this as reference. It's an easy to use book, herbs are listed alphabetically and there's also an index of what you may want to use herbs for. It gives the history of the herb, uses, as well as any safety concerns. It's well rounded.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un testo completo, ottimo acquisto
Reviewed in Italy on April 4, 2018
Scritto in lingua inglese.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 11, 2013
Great knowledge of herbs. I only read few pages and already found out lot of interesting things - which I didn't know despite of my interest in herbal remedies. It gives a little bit of history first (enough to enlighten the reader but not bore) and then it has a form of encyclopedia, what makes it easy to find the herb's description. It has index on the end so you can also search illness first. One of those old books full of knowledge so interesting but forgotten by us. Definite "must-be" in every herbalist's library.
