Unfortunately, I have purchased books in the past that I didn't like for any number of reasons or found they didn't provide the best (or perhaps new to me) information on their topics. But my disappointment doesn't mean they weren't necessarily well written, weren't 'on topic', etc.
This book is pure drivel. The title is totally misleading. Or, it is so poorly written and disorganized that one can't find the material that one expects given the title.
This person has mismashed a bunch of 'stuff' in these pages, slapped a title on it, and vanity published it. Which leads to my mistake... not researching this author a bit. Had I done so, I would have seen the vanity-mill array of 'books' she has dispatched on such an overly large and diverse list of topics and genres that it's improbable few if any of them are of value... it's just doubtful that one person could have that much 'expertise'.
Lesson learned. I will be very wary of purchasing books not produced by a reputable publisher in the future. Meantime, if you are sincerely interested in establishing a business in the areas of genealogy indicated by the title... skip, no-- run from, this one. Usually, I try to recycle books by selling them, giving them to libraries, etc. This one can't be passed on in good faith.
