- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2009Although many people consider themselves ethical, having moral character and integrity, this book helps to explain that not all people think the same in this area. It is especially important when in public service, no matter how large or small the organization, or your position there. This primer is just that - a primer, giving an overview and snapshot of different ethical approaches, examples of Codes of Ethics, and help in implementing ethics as a SOP in an organization. Very informative and thought provoking.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2011First time ordering books online and was amazed at how quickly I received it and how for being a used book it was in great condition.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2013First, let me say that this is a fine book and one of the few that completely (not just for fundraising, for example) addresses the topic of ethics for entities that are not businesses. I adopted it as a text for a nonprofit management graduate class which I teach.
However, good as it is, it is definitely skewed toward government staff ethics. Nonprofit staff ethics are treated in a secondary manner. Yes, there is much commonality, but most examples and cases cited apply to government. The language clearly has a government sector slant. Therefore, I "translate" the book as I teach. If it treated the two sectors more evenhandedly, I would have given it five stars.
