It doesn’t have exercises which I actually like. I strictly use this as a guide for my own lessons in practicing reading, writing, and speaking. I don’t really think endless grammar exercises are useful anyway. I did them for 10 years and never learned how to actually speak the language. Better to use something like this as a companion to more practical learning exercises.
I am glad I didn’t read the negative reviews. I have no idea why people are so turned off by the book’s size when the information inside of it is phenomenal. I bring it with me everywhere and read it any time I get the chance.
Again, this is a great tool to assist with building French grammar and contains many helpful rules and examples. It is a great way to go from learning a few phrases to learning the how and why and building sentences and effective, proper, communication skills. Not something I would recommend for someone learning a bit of French to use on a trip, but recommended for those wanting to hone their French language skills further. Price is right also.

One topic that I appreciated the most from this book was the verbs that are followed by a preposition after it. Since these particular verbs must be memorized, Barron's French Grammar makes sure to present this information in an organized fashion so that you're able to retain better.
I fully recommend this book for its fine price!
But the size of the book and print are small. Difficult to read.
Very much disappointed with the binding. Binding quality is worse. Within one day's usage pages started coming off. Didn't expect this poor quality from Barron's.
