Hard to find info on the German immigrants who traveled from Philly to New River watershed

I want to rate the book 3 1/2. The author writes as if you have already learned where every early town, county, and river of early Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina Colonies are. This book would be so much more gleening with maps and annotations with every chapter. I constantly had to refer to a map to follow their travels and to locate towns and rivers mentioned.

Happy to find a copy of this book. My late uncle had given me a copy of this book years ago and now I can share another copy with family members out of the area. It contains many references to my family and others as being the original settlers in the Blacksburg area. The information is presented concisely and easily referenced according to surnames found throughout the book.
