This book is basically an index.
It only contains a SUMMARY of each of the runaway slave ads run in the Pennsylvania Gazette.
You look up your ancestor's name in the index and find the two-line ad summary and the date the ad ran in the Gazette. In order to see the entire ad, you must buy a subscription to the Gazette on newspapers dot com or visit an archive library in NYC or SLC to see the entire ad.
