This is a collection of the Charleston SC City Directories for 1849, 1852, & 1855. It is handy sometimes to have these listings in book form so you can flip through them and highlight entries, vs going through them online. Also, not all years of the directories are available on Ancestry.com, although they have a lot.
Just be aware, this is only the people listings, there are none of the ads or other city info that may have been published as part of the original complete directories. But still great for filling in family research.
