Gary Boyd Roberts is a reknowned genealogist who leads you through the lines of ancestry of our Presidents. A very simple system, but this gives you step by step links to the Presidents' ancestors. This has been a wonderful aid to me in my own quest to expand my own ancestral lineage, as it links various Presidents to individuals already in my ancestry.com database.
Easily understood, and very accurate!

It is only O.K. because I did not look at the year it came out to see that it was more current. Had I done that I might have gotten one with George W. Bush In it or maybe even Obama. Other than that I could not expect more from this purchase. The book was in excellent condition, now that I have it is showing signs of wear. Thank-You

Not as complete a genealogical reference as I had wished, but still a useful starting place

This book is divided into two main sections and a few smaller sections. The first main section contains all the known ancestors for each of the Presidents, that is, all the known ancestors that lived in America, male and female, and perhaps a few immigrant's ancestors for one generation in the old country, each ancestor numbered from 1 to 127, or 255, or 511, skipping over numbers of unknown ancestors, for Presidents from George Washington to William Clinton, in this edition. This first section contains dates of birth and death and geographical locations. The second main section contains some lines of royal ancestry of the Presidents, usually something like 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 lines of royal ancestry for each President, one for each of the President's American ancestors who had royal ancestry, but each only in the one shortest "best" path to the most recent royal ancestor, ancestors male and female, in the lineage of the President. Many, but not all Presidents had royal ancestry, according to this book's analysis. This royal ancestry section gives the names of the husbands and wives in the lineage from the royal ancestor to the President. Unfortunately, this royal ancestry section of the book does NOT include dates or years of birth or death of the people within the lineages, nor any geographical locations, except the country of the most recent royal ancestor, and those descendants having a nobility title may have their nobility title listed. The book does contain an index of names, by last name with first name. The royal lineages have references listed. The book also has a very extensive bibliography for each President.
