When I first flipped through this book, I was surprised by how many entries did not have any story about how the place was named. When I started to dig deeper, I found that the places I was looking for (mainly rivers and lakes) were not even in the book.
Alaska is a huge place and 191 pages do not nearly do it justice. I'd suggest, at best, looking up Alaska Place Names in the library before buying it. Chances are the information you seek is not in there.
