Flax Oil as a True Aid Against Arthritis, Heart Infarction, Cancer and Other Diseases, 3rd Edition Paperback – December 1, 1994

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 331 ratings

Find out why fats govern all aspects of the human body.

Now translated for the first time into English by Apple Publishing, these lectures by seven-time Nobel Prize nominee and world-renowned Scientist & Biochemist have brought about a scientific revolution connecting the relationship between Cancer and Fat Metabolism.

After more than 10 years of solid clinical application, Dr. Budwig's natural formula has proven successful where many orthodox remedies have failed.

Dr. Budwig's formula has been used therapeutically in Europe for prevention of: Cancer, Arteriosclerosis, Strokes, Cardiac Infarction, Heartbeat (irregular), Liver (fatty degeneration), Lungs (reduces bronchial spasms), Intestines (regulates activity), Stomach Ulcers (normalizes gastric juices), Prostate (hypertopic), Arthritis (exerts a favorable influence), Eczema (assists all skin diseases), Old age (improves many common afflictions), Brain (strenghthens activity), Immune Deficiency Syndromes (multiple sclerosis, autoimmune illnesses).

Thousands have flocked to hear Dr. Budwig lecture all over Europe and fewer people have had a greater impact on the medical community and modern nutritional science.

A must read, Dr. Budwig is considered by many to be the foremost authority on fats and healing.

I just purchased this book, one for me and the second for a person with probably stage four cancer. He hasn't told me the stage, but it is bad. He is doing much to support his current medical care such as CBD, and I believe he will start this also. What is unclear is if he is too debilitated to overcome the time it takes to have this work. If he starts it, I will report back on the progress.

The book is highly readable and explains how this approach works, but it is not a how-to book. There are several websites and videos online to see the how-to and options to making the mixture.

It is sad that Budwig was only nominated for 7 Nobel prizes because the impact of her ground breaking research led to governments’ finally banning hydrogenated oils, yet she did not live long enough to see the full impact. My grandfather had heart disease, so he ate margarine instead of butter, as prescribed as healthful eating back then. And he died of it. In discussing the importance of the sun, Budwig was really getting to the importance of Vitamin D, which along with flax has been proven to help combat or avoid cancer. She should be awarded a posthumous Nobel.
Although Budwig cautioned against the medical interventions during her time, I believe that it makes sense to use all options. I have not heard of cures where the usual medical interventions were not used, though they may have been discarded after some point. IMO, one should use all options: FO/CC, CBD, raw almonds, and healthy diet along with standard medical care. But, that is what worked for me.

"Flax Oil as a True Aid Against Arthritis et al" by Dr Johanna Budwig MD is a gem of a book on the mechanics of unsaturated fats in maintaining healthy body functions. Solid fats are not water soluble. As a result, blood thickens and circulatory problems increase.

The chains in fatty acids of fish oil have circa 26 links with numerous unsaturated connections. In this form, fish oil is ideal for the body. This is due to numerous unsaturated connections of the electron groups and their ability to associate with protein to bring about the formation of new material. Oil solidification renders oxygen to be inert and electrical fields are destroyed. This destruction of electrons renders fat metabolism to be ineffective. Herein lies the beginning of carcinogenic processes in living organisms.

Dr Budwig's book explains how fat metabolism is deactivated in the body and what simple steps can be done to reverse this process to reach better health naturally. The presentation also covers the impact of bad fats on light or photon activity.

The reason for my, in the title, using the words "a rather special research woman", is that before buying this book, I in other books again and again learned about how the Dr. Budwig was fighting foot manufactures and medical firms, and thereby doctor sponsored by them. Which started after she had discovered how the resulting work done by the food producers was destroying the oils in our foods, as the result of getting the foot to last longer, but by which also peoples health was destroyed. And the medical firms then started giving drugs to the patients, instead of natural pills, and thereby not curing the health problems. And in this thin book she a number of times mentioning these attack against her.

Since high school, back in the 60ties, I've been reading many books concerning health, and especial then during the last 5 years after an accident by which my brain no longer remember my right hand. But this book has more connection to the more than 20 books, concerning cancer, which I mostly have been reading since it for my wife, 2 year ago, was discovered that she were hit by breast cancer. And then after being scared by the Thailand doctors, already a few days later, underwent a surgery, after their telling her, that else she in few days would die, even though the cancer only had a diameter on 7 mm (1/3 of an Inc.)!

These lectures, for laymen, as Dr. Johanna Budvig writes, are mostly telling the science background for some foods being necessary, that is which kind of oils that are necessary and why only these are starting the necessary processes in the body. And we in the lectures among other are learning about the connections between these healthy oils (the unsaturated fats), the electrons, and the sun. That is how we only are working together with sun if we are getting these electrons. And thereby if we only are eating the long durable food then we are missing these electrons. In the many other book which I've been reading, it's very lithe I've have seen stated about these electrons, in the connection to the food.

And also very interesting to me is it that we in the book are learning about some personal cases. As for example on the side 11, where a member of the audience, stands up and tells how doctors declared that her husband's lung tumor, and her daughters cases of psoriasis and degenerations of joints cartilage, bout were incurably. But that they both were cured, after that she had learning about, and then used the Dr. Johanna Budwig method.

After reading this thin book I would like to read some more of the writings by Dr. Johanna, but the other books which I can look at in Amazon are looking quite different, that is for example too much of food. And thereby probably too different to the kind of food which I eat, as I'm used in eating Danish and Asian book.

As a side remark, I hereby recommend the following book which I bought 2 month ago. That is the book written by Udo Erasmus: "Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill", having 456 sides. And this book, even though printed back in 1993, showed up really being up to date, and in which we among other are getting much of the molecule drawings for the oils.

This small book is full of chemistry and physics of metabolic electrons and photons, and the benefit of flax seed oil when combined with a protein to make it water soluble in the system.

There are definitive sections on Sunlight as the energy source for all living things-if they are healthy; and if they are not they do not derive the great benefit.

There is a section on Oxygen since it is necessary for all the processes in living persons. A decrease in oxygen decreases vitality and longevity.

Overall you will have to read and digest this book because of the chemistry and physics the author talks about, and this material is mostly what was presented to fellow scientists.

As a wellness practitioner I found this book to reinforce my already confirmed knowledge about flax seed oil but it goes further and explains the electron basis for these things.

The author is one of a handful of people who studied fats and oils in the body, or more accurately how they act in the body.

If you are a student of nutrition and supplements, a wellness doctor, or in a related field, this small text will surprise you with the density of facts and knowledge you will obtain.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading for anyone interested in health

This book should be read by everybody, especially health care professionals, people involved in the food industry and those who are unwell. I would be interested to know whether it is still true that the single distinguishing feature of cancerous cells in contrast to healthy ones is the formation of isolated fat in the cell nucleus, body and cytoplasm, since this part was written in 1959. If so, then this book is truly an indictment of the food industry. The subject should be much more widely known and I hope many more people will read this book and take action to change the way we produce and process food. If you know anyone with cancer, give them this book.
